On December 5, 2023, a Reddit user took to the discussion platform and shared a series of old pictures of Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor. The first picture featured a close-up view of Kartik's plastered hand. However, it was the text upon it that caught everyone's attention as it hinted towards his alleged relationship with Janhvi. The text can be read as "This hand plus man belongs to JK." Well, the initials of Janhvi's name on Kartik's plastered hands definitely created a stir on the internet. The next picture featured a collab, including photos of Janhvi and Kartik wearing the same outfits.

In the next picture, a screenshot of Kartik and Janhvi's videos was included. However, it was a similar background that caught our attention. In the collage, the alleged ex-couple can be seen sitting infront of a blue wall that hinted that the duo used to stay together at one point in time. The next collage featured three photos of Janhvi and Kartik from their vacations. Moreover, in one picture, the actress can be seen hugging Kartik, while the latter can be seen riding a bike.
The last two pictures from the series grabbed a lot of attention. In a collage featuring multiple pictures of Janhvi, the actress can be seen flaunting her 'KA' tattoo. Though, it is not confirmed if 'KA' stands for Kartik Aaryan. However, looking at the pictures, it looks like the duo was madly in love with each other at some point in time.

Soon after the Reddit user dropped the pictures, netizens flooded the comment section with their reactions. While one of the social media users commented, "JK literally got a tattoo on herself with his initials what delulu land are people living in," another one wrote, "what the hell do these girls see in him!? If it was like one nepo baby I would have understood, or even if he was just hooking up I can still understand that, but relationships? A WHOLe TATTOO? My goodness." One more internet user reacted to the pictures and wrote, "Sara was right. He's everyone's ex." Another comment can be read as "Justice for Shikhar!!!Janhvi should get tattoo for Shikhar too."
On July 12, 2022, Karan Johar dropped the promo of Koffee With Karan season 7's second episode, featuring Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. In the video, the actresses could be seen getting engaged in a fun rapid-fire round. However, it was Sara's dig at her ex-boyfriend, Kartik Aaryan that caught everyone's attention. It so happened when Karan asked Sara why she broke up with her ex-boyfriend, the actress gave a witty reply. Answering this, Sara took an indirect dig at her and Janhvi's mutual ex-boyfriend and said:
"He is everyone's ex."
