It is true that for a daughter, her father is the one man she trusts blindly. The relationship of a father and his daughter is such that the moment he holds his little angel, he knows that she would outgrow his arms someday, but would never outgrow his heart. From being her emotional anchor to her strongest supporter in all her dreams, a father-daughter relationship cannot be described in words, it can only be felt. One such beautiful relationship is shared between Boney Kapoor and his daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. The untimely demise of actress, Sridevi on February 24, 2018 had created a void in the Kapoor family, leaving Boney ji, Khushi and Janhvi alone. But keeping a strong face, Janhvi had not only become an emotional support for Boney ji and Khushi but had also kept the memories of her mother alive by reminiscing the times spent with her. We know the warm bond shared between Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor but in a recent interview, the doting daughter recalled the time she had lied to her father.
In Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show, What Women Want, Janhvi revealed how she once travelled to Las Vegas without informing her father and told her dad that she was watching a movie. Recalling the incident and revealing that how she recently confessed the same to him, Janhvi said, “A big part of your childhood and your youth is to be a little bit of a rebel and do things that you are not supposed to do. Like, yesterday, for the first time, I told my dad that I lied to him and told him that I was going for a movie but I took a flight and went to Vegas from LA, roamed around and took the flight back in the morning. He didn't know.”
On November 11, 2020, Boney Kapoor had turned a year older and his daughter, Janhvi had penned a lovely note for him. With the pandemic lockdown, Janhvi too had got the time to spend with her father, Boney Kapoor and sister, Khushi Kapoor as otherwise, she is always on the go. The lockdown had made her realise that people of the family depend on her a lot more since her mom, Sridevi’s demise. In an interview with the Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor had opened up on becoming the lady of the house post her mother, Sridevi’s demise and had remarked, “I don’t think I have become the lady of the house because I'm very childish. But during this lockdown, I'm understanding how much people at home depend on me a lot more. Because I haven't been home this much for the past 2 years. Now all of sudden I'm keeping track of what Papa is eating, or why Khushi is sleeping so long, and how they are going to get vegetables and if they are sanitizing everything properly or what the protocols are. I was thinking If I wasn't here I don't know what would have been happening. I think they would have managed. I think the responsibility has just dawned on me that they do depend on me a bit.” (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Join Hands To Greet A Cow, Asks Owner 'Aur Bajao' As He Played Saif's Song On Flute)
