Were you eagerly waiting for June 10, 2018 to witness Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak’s trailer? And did the trailer exceed your expectations and you can’t wait for the film to release? Ditto, we say!
Jahnvi Kapoor has been making the headlines even before we saw (read yet to see) her on the screens, thanks to her famous Kapoor clan and her uncanny resemblance to her mom, the late Sridevi. And not to forget, Janhvi and her sister, Khushi’s growing closeness with half-siblings, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor.
From posting pictures on Arjun’s birthday to calling him their pillar of strength, Janhvi is an exemplar which portrays and proves that half-siblings can be the best and how! Janhvi is keeping very busy with her film’s promotions. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Janhvi took the opportunity to speak about her half-brother Arjun. She shared, “I’ve realised Arjun is very wise, just like dad. They can comfort and guide you in a way that many people can’t. It comes from experience and having made successful films. Everyone has always said such nice things about him and the way he’s been brought up. He values honesty and tells me to be respectful towards people." Janhvi’s daddy dear, Boney Kapoor is a prominent filmmaker. When asked about if we will get to see her in her father’s banner, she shared, “I’d like to be worthy to get an opportunity from anyone. I hope people like my work and want to see me again. I hope papa likes me enough in my first film to want to cast me."
At a recent interview, Janhvi also shared about the special compliment that she received from Arjun, which she will remember all her life. Janhvi replied by saying, “Arjun Bhaiya ne actually jab who mujhse mile unhone bola k aisa lag raha hai k aapne honest kaam kiya hai, koi heroine ki acting nahi kar rahe, aap honestly aapka kirdaar nibhane ki koshish kar rahe hai. Main bahut khush hui ye sun ke. (Arjun Kapoor told me that I have done an honest job in the film and that I am not trying to act like a heroine. She said that Arjun Kapoor told her that she has performed honestly and that she was extremely happy to hear that)”.
She also added, “I take his advice very seriously. I look upto him. Abhi abhi main London main unse mili thi aur trailer abhi abhi launch hua tha aur maine kuch comments padhe aur main thodi low thi aur unhone mujhe salah di aur himmat di ke tum acting se itna pyaar karti ho aur kaam karte raho, aur kuchh manye nahi rakhta. (Recently, I met him in London after the trailer launch and I was feeling low after reading a few comments. He advised me to continue working and not think about anything else as I love acting so much).”
At Arjun’s 33rd birthday this year (2018), the doting sister took to Instagram and posted an adorable picture of their sibling lot with a beautiful caption. She wrote, “You are the reason for our strength. Love you, happy birthday Arjun bhaiya”.
On the work front, as you all know, Janhvi is making her debut in Bollywood with Dhadak, the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster, Sairat. The film is slated for a July 20, 2018 release.
