The couple have been married for the past 22 years, and they would have celebrated their 23rd anniversary in October 2026, but life had its own plan, and the estranged couple announced the same with an Instagram post.
James Jordan addressed the speculations about his divorce and revealed he was navigating a tough time
James and Ola's marriage has fallen apart. After rumours surfaced, James addressed the claims and announced his separation from Ola. For the unversed, the couple started dating in 1999, and they are parents to a six-year-old daughter, Ella. In the most devastating time, their focus is on the well-being of their daughter.
James took to his Instagram handle and shared a collaborative post with Ola. He shared that after 26 years of being together, they never thought that they would be sharing the news of their separation. The couple announced their separation as they do not want people to speculate and make stories about their split. The statement can be read as:
"After 26 years together, this is something we never imagined we would be sharing.
Following recent reports in the press about our relationship and after receiving messages asking if everything is okay, we feel it’s important to speak directly rather than let speculation or hearsay tell our story. "
James and Ola added that they want to be open and honest with the people who have been supporting them over the years. They accepted that the two have taken some time apart as they work through very difficult personal challenges. James revealed that he had moved out of the family home some time ago, and called it an incredibly painful and emotional journey, which wasn't easy.
However, James and Ola's current priority is their daughter Ela, who is the centre of everything they do. The couple continues to co-parent her with all the 'love, care and stability' which she deserves. James further added that he has been struggling with his mental health. He further added that neither of them is in a good place as they navigate the hardest chapters of their lives. He wrote:
"Speaking personally (James), my mental health hasn’t been in a good place for quite some time. I’ve been struggling more than I’ve let people see, and I’m taking the time I need to focus on getting myself into a healthier place, both for myself and for Ella.
Neither of us is in a good place right now. We’re both doing our best to navigate one of the hardest chapters of our lives, and we ask that people remember there are real people and real emotions behind every headline, every comment and every post."
James and Ola added that they do not know what the future holds for them, but they are taking things one day at a time. They thanked their fans for the love, kindness and concern they have shown for them over the years. They further asked people to show kindness, empathy and give them the privacy to make things work out as a family.

James and Ola met in 1999 during a dance competition in Blackpool. The couple started dating for a few years and got married in 2003. James once talked about being in love with a celebrity. He said:
"You’re very close. Day One, you come in, you just met them, and you’re rubbing your crown jewels up against them. It’s normal in our world but not for everyone else, and you’re so close to each other, dancing sexy, and there’s nice music, and you’re training with each other for eight hours a day, so if there is a little bit of chemistry, something’s going to happen."
