Jack Osbourne revealed his parents' marriage was not 'picture perfect' after Ozzy admitted to cheating
Ozzy Osbourne was a legend in heavy metal, but beyond his profession and fame, his personal life was marred by controversies. In 2016, he admitted to cheating on his second wife, Sharon Osbourne (maiden name Sharon Levy), with hairstylist Michelle Pugh. His infidelity hit Sharon so hard that it reportedly forced her into a drug overdose and also led to the couple separating temporarily in the same year.
Amid the messy situation, which was generating tons of headlines, their son, Jack Osbourne, spoke up. Jack appeared on SiriusXM's Sway In the Morning radio show for a candid interview, where he shared that his parents were also real people with real problems. Jack, who was 30 at the time, opened up about the couple's relationship issues, revealing that they were trying to fix them.
Jack shared that Ozzy's cheating controversy was not the first issue in the latter's relationship with Sharon. The two of them had been married for a long time, and thus it was natural that they had faced woes earlier as well, according to their son. Jack Osbourne revealed that his parents never had a "picture-perfect marriage", which many thought they did. He further stated that Ozzy and Sharon never claimed to be an ideal couple and mentioned:
"They're working on it. They're trying to rein it in... They've been together for so long and this isn't their first rodeo. They don't have this picture-perfect marriage, and they've never claimed to. So they're just trying to figure it out, I guess."

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's love story lasted 43 long years. In his memoir Last Rites, the rocker opened up about his affair with hairstylist Michelle Pugh. He admitted in the book that his sex addiction went out of control around the time of Black Sabbath's final tour. He sarcastically wrote how he thought it would be "a great idea to start seeing a load of women on the side."
According to Ozzy, his infidelity had less to do with love or romance and more to do with "filling a void." Despite this, he believed that Sharon had "every right to dump" him when she learned of his indiscretions. He wrote:
"At some point you get trapped, and you can't stop seeing 'em, ‘cos you think they'll go to the press or whatever. Which is pretty much what happened. Sharon was like, 'What the fuck did you expect, Ozzy? If you're seeing enough women, one of 'em's gonna want more. And that's the one who's gonna bring the whole thing crashing down on everyone's heads.'"
Ozzy Osbourne had confessed to being the "bad guy" who "fucked around for a while" when he was already married. He, however, was repentant about his act and shared a statement with ET saying, "I am mortified at what my behavior has done to my family."
Ozzy was also thankful that his "incredible wife", Sharon decided to stand by him when he admitted to his infidelity publicly and asked for her forgiveness. Describing the pain he caused her, which led to her substance abuse, Ozzy wrote in his memoir:
"I broke my wife's heart, and I'm lucky she forgave me. I just hope all the people I hurt know how sorry I am — including the kids, who were badly affected. And that's all I wanna say about any of that, ‘cos bringing it up just causes more pain."
