If there's one such bond that is as special and cherishable as the sibling relationship, then it has to be of devar/nanad-bhabhi. When a woman moves to a new house after marriage, it is with the support of her devar/nanad that she is able to adjust in the family and call it her 'home'. Their relationship is all about unconditional love and the fun moments that make life happier. For Shahid Kapoor's wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor, it was his brother, Ishaan Khatter, who became her first best friend in her sasural. It was five years ago when Mira Rajput had added Kapoor to her name when she had tied the knot with the heartthrob of B-town, Shahid Kapoor and since then, the way she has accepted his family as her own and vice versa, it is really inspiring. Mira shares a beautiful relationship with her parents-in-law, Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak and Neliima Azeem and brother-in-law, Ishaan Khatter. Her social media feed is proof of her camaraderie with the Kapoor family as on every special occasion, she never misses out on expressing her love for them. Even the Kapoor family is in awe of their bahu and leaves no chance to express how special she is to them.
On July 7, 2020, when Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had completed five years of married life, heartfelt wishes started pouring in on social media with some unseen pictures of the couple. Ishaan Khatter too, posted a five-star anniversary post for his bhaiya and bhabhi, where Shahid can be seen giving a sweet peck on Mira's forehead as they posed in traditional outfits on the terrace of their residence. Ishaan had written, “Turned 5!” followed by a heart emoticon and five stars atop it. Mira reposted the picture and revealed that Ishaan is the only one who calls her 'bhabhi'. To mark their fifth anniversary, Mira Rajput Kapoor had posted unseen pictures from their Anand Karaj ceremony and sangeet with heartfelt wishes for her hubby, Shahid Kapoor. Raising a toast to five magical years of togetherness with Shahid, Mira had captioned the Anand Karaj picture as "Gratitude". Reminding Shahid of 'three golden words', Mira's fun and loving anniversary caption can be read as "5 years, 4 souls, 3 homes, 2 babies and 1 beautiful family. There’s nobody I’d rather be on this journey called life than you my love. I fall in love with you more every day. And I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have the love of my life be my best friend. Thank you for everything, for being my strength and for walking through everything together, hand in hand. I love you. You make me laugh like no one else. And more often than not I’m laughing at you. Please don’t forget. Wife is always right. And the three golden words will always be “I am sorry” To many more years of us."
Shahid Kapoor too, wished his wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor on their fifth wedding anniversary with an all-smiling selfie of them. Revealing what all he had found in these five years and thanking his wife for helping him be a better version of himself, Shahid had written, "5 years. Gone by in a flash. Found beauty in the smaller things. Found happiness within not without. Found meaning to together we can. Found myself a little more walking by your side my love. Thank you for being you.
