Ambanis always do things in style and panache. The flamboyance in the two recent weddings that took place at Antilia is hard to get over with. It was on December 12, 2018, when Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani got married to Anand Piramal, and a few months later, on March 09, 2019, their elder son, Akash Ambani took the nuptial plunge with his childhood friend, Shloka Mehta. Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani’s respective wedding albums have set the bar of marriage goals rather high. And we often stumble upon some unseen pictures from their wedding and pre-wedding functions. The latest addition in this includes some unseen pictures from Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding in which we can see the Ambanis playing phoolon ki Holi. In the pictures, one can spot Anant Ambani, Nita Ambani, the-then-bride-to-be, Isha Ambani and others, playing phoolon ki Holi, and it must be noted here that these pictures surfaced online on the day of Holi, on March 21, 2019. Take a look:
Speaking of Isha Ambani’s wedding, during a chat with Vogue India, Isha had earlier shared that she has changed her name post-marriage and is now- Isha Anand Piramal. The official Instagram handle of Vogue India had shared the following cover picture and had captioned the post as, "She’s born to a fabled last name. But this modern-day heiress is determined to create her own legacy. Girl-to-watch Isha Ambani Piramal (@_iiishmagish) talks to Vogue India editor-in-chief Priya Tanna (@priya_tanna) about work, life and the future, and why, for her, India is at the heart of it all."
Talking about her D-day, the 27-year-old had then shared, "The wedding went off beautifully. Like any other bride, I had my share of bridal jitters but getting married at home made it very special and I had the time of my life celebrating my most memorable moments with all the people I love." On being asked if she herself was a part of the preparation process of her wedding, she had answered, "During the wedding my mom was CEO and I was chairperson. She and dad did all the hard work. Thankfully, we ended up liking the same things, so that made it a breeze. I didn’t go to a single wedding meeting. I was never someone who dreamt of how my wedding would be, yet it was wonderful in more ways than I can imagine. It was a very emotional affair for everyone in my family. I was emotional too but everyone around me would cry all the time. I only cried at my bidaai because I felt some peer pressure as everyone else was crying, especially my parents."
Isha Ambani was also asked about the domains where she and Anand differ. She had retorted, "He hates attending events, I enjoy them. I really enjoyed our wedding, but it was not exactly his idea of fun (laughs). He’s more spiritual than I am. But we are also very similar. We are both very family-oriented, and we both love food. I remember in one of the speeches that my father gave at my wedding, he listed ten reasons why he liked Anand. It was hilarious, and dad concluded by saying that these are probably the same ten things that he would also use to describe himself. And it’s true; in many ways, Anand reminds me of my father."
Talking about her career, and work post-marriage, if that will get affected in any way, Isha had told Vogue, "I feel very passionately about gender equality and equal participation in the workforce because growing up I was made to believe that I could do whatever my brothers could do, as well if not better. So as a working woman, I believe that companies must create an environment that fosters equal participation. At Jio, we have programmes for women that allow them to form communities and support each other. But what would really give me satisfaction is when I know that no matter which meeting I enter, engineering or design, there will be an equal number of women in the room.” (Must Read: Malaika Arora's Reaction On Arbaaz Khan's New YouTube Show 'Pinch With Arbaaz Khan')
