The Night Manager Season 2, the spy thriller series starring Tom Hiddleston, has become the talk of the town. It is the second instalment of the 2016 original series. Season 2 of the show has premiered on Amazon Prime Video after 10 years. The finale episode of The Night Manager Season 2 premiered on February 1, 2026. The series revolves around 'Jonathan Pine' (played by Tom Hiddleston). Season 2 ended with six episodes. Amid the buzz surrounding the series, let’s find out whether Season 3 is on the cards.
The first instalment of The Night Manager was adapted from the 1993 novel by John le Carré, but Season 2 and the upcoming season are entirely original. In a January 2026 interview with Variety, director, Georgi Banks-Davies revealed that Season 3 was already part of their plan. She mentioned that David Farr has started working and is in the early stages. For the unversed, David Farr is the writer of The Night Manager Seasons 1 and 2. She was quoted as saying:
"There was a third season that was always in the offing. David is writing it now — he’s at the coalface and in the early stage. But yeah, when the the second season came, the plan was to go to three. So when you see our whole series, you’ll see it can sit entirely alone but can also sit very much as the second book in the trilogy."

Tom Hiddleston, the heart of the series, The Night Manager, has also confirmed that Season 3 is on the cards. He also served as the executive producer. While Prime Video has not officially confirmed the third season of The Night Manager, Tom revealed that it is in 'official development'. He told TV Insider, "We’re working on it. Yeah, we’re working on it now. It’s not in official pre-production, but it’s in official development. We’re working on it, we’re refining the story and the architecture of what we really like."

Details about The Night Manager Season 3 are still kept under wraps. In an interview with TV Insider, Tom Hiddleston shared that Season 2 and Season 3 of The Night Manager were planned as part of a two-volume story. However, he didn’t reveal any more details surrounding the upcoming season. He hinted at a lovely surprise awaiting the audience in Season 3. He said, "Season 2 and season 3 were planned as a two-volume story. I won’t reveal it now because that would take away the lovely surprise. But yeah, it’s going to be an extraordinary journey. It’s not over yet."

Although nothing is confirmed yet about the cast members who will return in The Night Manager Season 3, there are high chances of Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as 'Jonathan Pine'. While Season 2's ending featured many characters’ ends, there is a chance that Hugh Laurie, who plays 'Richard Roper', and Noah Jupe, who plays 'Danny Roper', might return in Season 3.
