Korean pop music is taking the world by storm, be it for its catchy chorus beats or synchronised hook steps. The newest addition to this Hallyu wave is the rookie band, Riize. The seven-member band will soon debut with their first track, Get A Guitar, and netizens can hardly hold in their excitement for the same. Some throwback high school pictures of Riize’s Anton and Sofia Chwe have surfaced online, suggesting a possible budding romance between the duo.
For the unversed, Sofia Chwe is the baby sister of K-pop band, Seventeen’s vocalist, Vernon. Anton and Sofia went to the same high school and graduated only recently. The duo’s camaraderie runs long back as they have known each other for almost all their life.

Anton and Sofia were both born in 2004 and attended the same school. Their camaraderie pictures are nothing new. The only difference is that Anton is now a budding K-pop idol, and Sofia is also under the spotlight, owing to her brother, Vernon. There have been numerous pictures of the duo on Sofia’s IG handle. However, a lot of it has now been deleted. But what caught our attention was a post of Sofia where she is seen wearing the same bracelet as Anton. Sofia openly accepted that she stole the bracelet from Anton, however, the post has now been deleted.
As soon as the pictures of Anton and Sofia were posted on the online community forum, Pann, netizens started to ship the duo. Many netizens also commented on how cute the two look with each other. Anton is set to debut as a K-pop idol on September 3, 2023, with the band Riize and six other members. The band’s first single, Get A Guitar, will be their first release. However, Sofia isn’t a K-pop idol but has an immaculate social media presence. She regularly posts her singing videos on her IG handle and YouTube channel.
