Aamir Khan and his ex-wife, Reena Dutta's daughter, Ira Khan is all set to get hitched to fitness coach, Nupur Shikhare. They will enter into their marital bliss following a registered marriage in Udaipur, and it won't be followed by a traditional Maharashtrian-style wedding. For the same, the pre-wedding celebrations have already begun with an intimate mehendi ceremony at the groom-to-be's house. Now, a sangeet ceremony would occur following an intimate wedding, for which Ira has opted for a 'no-gift' policy.
On January 2, 2024, Nupur Shikhare took to his Instagram handle and shared some lovely photos with his bride-to-be, Ira Khan. In the pictures, they were seen twinning in red outfits. While Ira opted for a maroon saree with a shimmery halter neck blouse, Nupur opted for a traditional kurt paired with a waistcoat and a turban. The bride-to-be completed her look with no makeup, a maroon-hued bindi and open tresses. In some of the photos, they were also seen lovingly feeding each other. Alongside the photos, he wrote:
"One more day of being your fiancée @khan.ira. I love you so much."

Earlier, in a conversation with Etimes, Aamir Khan’s sister, Nikhat Khan Hegde gave some insights into Ira and Nupur's pre-wedding and wedding celebrations. Nikhat revealed that Aamir's daughter's pre-wedding began with a mehendi function at his house. For the same, all the ladies from Ira's family got dressed up in traditional Maharashtrian sarees and huge naths. They were also seen carrying decked-up baskets of goodies to Nupur's home in the glimpses shared by the paps. Nikhat revealed:
"Today we took Mehendi to Nupur's house. We did the mehendi ceremony. We all decided to wear navari with a big nath. We dressed up fully Maharashtrian."
Further, in the same conversation, Nikhan revealed how the Khan family was preparing for Ira and Nupur's sangeet ceremony. The doting bua opened up that the entire family has been rehearsing songs on the dhol for a casual sangeet ceremony. Moreover, Nikhat revealed that Aamir Khan himself is learning to sing. Nikhat added:
"We have been practicing and preparing songs on dhol, which we plan to sing tomorrow. It will be a more casual sangeet, we will be playing dhol and singing all wedding songs. Aamir is learning to sing as well. However, for the wedding songs, it is only the ladies who will be performing. Our family from Banaras, Lucknow and Delhi have come. Reena's side family has come down from Delhi and Punjab."

Earlier, we stumbled upon a glimpse of Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding invite. The invitation card seems to be from their reception. It was set in a black and gold theme, wherein we can spot golden flowers at the corners with the initials of Ira and Nupur written in a simple logo at the top. The date of their function was written as January 13, 2024. The message on the card read:
“It gives us great pleasure to invite you to celebrate the marriage of our children Ira & Nupur. Please join us to bless the couple. 13th January Saturday. Love Pritam, Reena and Aamir. Blessings only.”
