Aamir Khan and his first wife, Reena Dutta’s little girl, Ira Khan, tied the knot with the love of her life, Nupur Shikhare, on January 10 2024. Their week-long wedding festivities remained the talk of the town because of their uniqueness and star-studded affairs. However, while scrolling through our social media, we stumbled upon an old interview with Ira Khan, where she revealed that she did not want to be in a relationship with Nupur Shikhare. In a conversation with Filmybug, the host asked Ira Khan if her relationship was difficult in terms of communication, especially in the beginning. To this, the newbie bride added that it was indeed very challenging, and initially, when Nupur proposed to her, she did not want to date him for that very reason. She added that she did not even want to get into a relationship with Nupur because of the difficulties she was facing with her mental health.

For the unversed, Ira Khan had a long battle with mental health issues, especially with depression, because of which a lot of things were going on in her head. She was a mess and didn’t want to burden Nupur with it. However, the duo later conversed about the situation, and Nupur was ready to accept Ira with all her issues.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s love story began during the 2020 lockdown when Ira shifted to her father’s house and met Nupur, who was her father’s fitness coach. For those who chimed in late, Nupur is a celebrity fitness coach. The duo gradually started hanging out together and soon fell in love. In September 2021, Nupur Shikhare proposed to Ira for marriage, and the latter said yes. And now, two years later, the couple has tied the knot towards their forever journey.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shukhare had a grand engagement ceremony in November 2022, where the latter went down on his knees and proposed to his ladylove. In a snap shared by Ira, we notice how enticing and gorgeous her engagement ring is. The ring features a massive diamond in the middle, placed on a band that holds several other tiny diamonds throughout.
