Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta's daughter, Ira Khan finally got married to her fiance, Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024. The couple ditched the prevailing customs and rituals at their wedding and set new trends. Nupur didn't bring his baarat on a horse and instead jogged 8 km to reach the wedding venue. He even performed the registered wedding process in athleisure and caught everyone's attention.
Nupur Shikhare was seen wearing a pair of shorts and a black vest on stage as he and Ira Khan signed their marriage certificate. The outfit raised many eyebrows and Nupur got slammed for the same. Finally, on January 4, 2024, Ira took to her Instagram stories and seemingly shut down the trolls by sharing a cute message. She shared an adorable photo of herself with Nupur from their wedding ceremony along with an attached photo of her groom jogging to the venue with his friends. She wrote:
“He didn’t come on a horse. He ran to the venue. And I placed cute posters along the way.”

Well, this is not the first time that Ira has reacted to her groom, Nupur Shikhare's wedding look. On January 4, 2024, a video from Nupur and Ira's wedding surfaced online, wherein the latter was seen interacting with the audience present there. She took a dig at Nupur's vest and shorts look at their wedding and reacted to the same. Addressing the guests while standing on the stage with her family, Ira was heard saying:
"He's going to go shower, good bye."

Ira Khan's hubby, Nupur Shikhare donned a black vest and white shorts at their wedding, and everyone questioned his choice of attire. However, not many know that it was Nupur's sweet gesture for Ira, as he seemingly paid an ode to his wifey. As per a report by Pinkvilla, Nupur proposed to Ira wearing athleisure back in 2022 in Italy after completing the Ironman Triathlon. So, he decided to wear something similar for his wedding ensemble also, and it reportedly was a sweet gesture of Nupur for Ira.

Earlier, we stumbled upon several glimpses of the groom, Nupur's dhamakedaar baarat, wherein he was dressed in a black sleeveless t-shirt teamed with white shorts and a pair of sky-blue sneakers. The groom jogged from Santa Cruz to Bandra, marking a total distance of 8 km, to reach his wedding venue. Not just this, in some other glimpses, Nupur was seen playing dhol and making a grand entry at his wedding venue. Ira Khan's groom also danced outside the venue and left everyone's jaws dropped.
