With the memories still fresh in their heads, the RCB fans will head to the Narendra Modi Stadium today, i.e. on May 31, 2026, will it be a deja vu moment or a heart-shattering moment for RCB fans? Well, the time will tell. RCB is going to face GT on the latter's home ground. The excitement is already up for the high-stakes match, and several predictions are being made. What are they hinting at? Let's have a look!

Who might win IPL 2026? A look at predictions and statistics

According to Polymarket and Khalsi, betting sites have been showing the winner for IPL 2026. Both of the teams ended with 18 points in their bags, with 9 and 9 wins, respectively, out of 10 matches each. The teams faced each other in 3 matches so far, and RCB has the lead with 2-1. Before the match begins, a lot of speculation has been going on. Prediction markets like Polymarket have their graph going up for RCB with 55 per cent chances, while Kalshi has predicted the last year's champion team's win to 56 per cent.

Statistically, as well, the experts are leaning more towards RCB, with 53 per cent chances showing them to be the winner. There are several psychological factors that hit, as we all know, Virat's team is defending masters, and the plus point will be the confident corner, as the team already defeated GT with a massive 92 runs, but another counter-confidence might strike the opposition team as the game is being played in Ahmedabad, a place where they already defeated RCB during the league.

Speaking of current form, RCB, in their last 6 games, won 5 and are in a fabulous form, while GT struggled in Q1, but they bounced back with an outstanding performance during Q2. The weather forecast is clear for Ahmedabad, and speaking of the pitch, it's red soil, which generally suggests high scores, which could be more than 180. The toss will also be something to look at, as in the second half, the dew on the pitch will make chasing a massive advantage.
