However, one thing that is trending this Independence day other than the Honourable Prime Minister's futuristic speech is the recently released biographical drama, Shershaah, based on the life of Kargil War's hero, Captain Vikram Batra.
The film is receiving rave reviews from both critics and the audience, which is the reason why people are watching this masterpiece along with their family members on this significant day to paint their day in the colours of patriotism. Now, on this special occasion, the film's lead actress, Kiara Advani shared a stunning picture with her co-star and alleged boyfriend, Sidharth Malhotra.

On August 15, 2021, Kiara Advani took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful picture with her Shershaah co-star and rumoured boyfriend, Sidharth Malhotra, as they celebrate Independence Day together. The picture is quite special, as we can spot India's one of the most important memorials, India Gate, in the background. We can also spot Shershaah's director, Vishnuvardhan, posing alongside his film's lead actors. Both Sidharth and Kiara looked stunning in their respective outfits. While on one side, Sidharth looked handsome in his charcoal grey T-shirt and Camouflage Military jacket, on the other side, Kiara donned a beautiful pink coloured saree.
However, it was Kiara Advani's emotional note in the caption that won everyone's heart, as she remembered all the soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for this country's safety and well-being. Her touching note can be read as "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lays down his life for his people." Deep gratitude to our Indian army, navy and airforce officers. After some seconds, Sidharth Malhotra also shared a picture of himself, waving the Indian flag. In the caption of his breathtaking picture, Sidharth penned one of the best dialogues of his film, Shershaah, along with a heartmelting wish for the whole nation. His caption can be read as "Ek fauji ke rutbe se bada koi aur rutba nahi hota, Vardi ki shaan se badi koi aur shaan nahi hoti… Aur apne desh se bada koi dharam nahi hota. I salute the Indian Army, Navy & Air Force today on Independence Day #HappyIndependenceDay."
Recently we had stumbled upon some unseen pictures of Sidharth Malhotra with late Captain Vikram Batra's portraits and all the gallantry awards and honours he had to his name. In the picture, we could also get a clear glimpse of the legendary fighter's surreal portrait. But what had caught our attention the most was Sidharth's unreal resemblance with Vikram Batra after he had posed for the camera standing in front of the soldier's photo. It had clearly shown why Shershaah's director, Vishnuvardhan, had chosen Sidharth for this film.
