Imran Khan was once the most popular and loved Bollywood actor. He was well known for some iconic films like Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and more. Well, after a gap of almost a decade, he is all set to make a comeback with Happy Patel. While he is generating buzz for the film, the actor recently revealed the dark reality of the show, Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan.
Recently, the Delhi Belly actor, Imran Khan had a candid conversation with Samdish on his podcast. During the same, they spoke about the reality show, Bigg Boss and Imran shared a shocking detail about the same. The actor shared that the show is very disturbing and described it as a “twisted social experiment.” Imran Khan was quoted as saying:
"I have been a guest on the show. It is very disturbing. It is the most twisted social experiment. All the way around the house, around the periphery is a passageway, so all the inner walls of the house are lined with mirrors. So you walk all the way through, where the camera guys are sitting, this is why we are in black, so they don't see us. And there is a glass there. So we can sit close and watch them."

Imran Khan further called the reality show a “zoo” and shared that the contestants of the show are deprived of food. Imran also mentioned that the makers of the show try to create an environment where contestants will react in an aggressive manner. Imran Khan shared:
"It's like a zoo. They are deprived of food. They are trying to create an environment where people will be reactive and lash out. Unko bhuka rakho, then throw one chicken on the ground and say 'ladho'."

During the same podcast, actor, Imran Khan also spoke about how casting is done in films. He shared that filmmakers decide their lead actor based on the budget of the film. He revealed that this was the main reason behind his casting in the 2013 film, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Imran further shared the fee actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor might be taking. In his words:
"If you’re an A-lister in theatrical films today, you’re not earning less than Rs. 30 crore per film. Anyone my age — Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor — they are not earning less than Rs. 30 crore. I would be surprised if any of them are earning less than that."

Bigg Boss is one of India's longest running and most talked-about reality shows. It is well known for its dramatic scenes, constant monitoring and fights between celeb contestants. The show began in 2006, and since then it has been a fan-favourite. It is worth mentioning that Arshad Warsi hosted the first season and Shilpa Shetty did the second. Since the third episode, Salman Khan became the face of the show. For the unversed, the 19th season of the show ended on December 7, 2025. Gaurav Khanna lifted the trophy of Bigg Boss 19, after defeating Farrhana Bhatt.
