They were hockey players, who, in the beginning of the series are rivals, but eventually they fall in love. It is also worth noting that the series also featured a steamy scene between them, which raised several questions.

In December 2025, Hudson Williams had a conversation with Deadline, during which he addressed the claims around his sexuality. In the conversation, he opened up about playing a gay character and shared that he wanted queer people telling queer stories; however, he explained that his friendship with Connor was the reason behind their casting. He was quoted as saying:

"I want queer people telling queer stories, but also, there’s the element of Connor and I- we’re best friends, and we love expressing that physically. You see people who infer or assume, and you kind of have to let that go. But then again, I never wanna stop expressing the love I have for Connor physically, and I’m never really going to, and I think multiple things can be true at once."

Further, Hudson had also shared that the showrunner, Jacob Tierney did not care about their sexuality. He just wanted actors who were willing to play a gay character with all their heart. During the interview, Hudson shared that the makers could have given him food and paid him USD 10 and he would have agreed for the show. In his words:

"They could have paid me USD 10 and just fed me, and I’m doing the story. I really thought I was gonna get nothing for this, and I just loved the story so much, and I want to be a part of that. And Connor as well, I’m sure feels the same. So, I think that’s the only thing you can gauge."

However, it was in February 2026, when he gave a good answer to the audience by confirming his relationship with tattoo artist, Katelyn Rose Larson. For the unversed, he had shared an IG Story featuring loved-dovey moments of the two.

Recently, at the Oscars 2026, the duo made a beautiful appearance at the red-carpet. According to the photos that are going viral, the couple twinned in black outfits. The actor opted for a sleeveless black see-through top with black trousers. On the other hand, Katelyn opted for a black lace floral dress. The dress had a high neckline and a cut-out design. The tattoo artist tied her hair in a bun and completed her look with diamond-and-emerald earrings and a silver nose pin.

But just to see everyone kind of take her in stride and all the lovely fans supporting her, even thought she's not trying to be out there or be perceived. She's always like, I don't want to be perceived. They're still just being really warm from what I've been told, and that's really nice."
