Bollywood actor, Hrithik Roshan's sister, Sunaina Roshan, has faced a lot in life. She recently revealed that her health took a hit when she followed a diet consisting only of fruits, juices, cookies, and water. Sunaina revealed that the consequences of her diet were so bad that she had almost landed in a coma. Sunaina revealed that Hrithik had also gone to a temple to pray for her.

Sunaina Roshan had shared on her Instagram handle that she had faced one of the most crucial chapters of her life and a lesson that she will never forget. It had changed the way she thought about health, nourishment, and the shortcuts people are tempted to take. Sunaina was left in a state of coma, and her brother, Hrithik, had spent an entire night in the temple. She shared:

"My brother even spent the night at a temple praying for me to get well. The doctor said the first sign of recovery would be that I would ask for food, and after days, that’s exactly what I did. That one moment changed everything for my family.”

Sunaina Roshan reveals the ill effects of a hardcore diet

Sunaina Roshan had taken to her social media handle to reveal the consequences of her hardcore diet that had left her in a coma. She had shared a clip on Instagram where she revealed that in 2001, a crash diet had led her to a path that she never imagined. What followed was one of the most crucial chapters of her life and a lesson she will never forget. It completely changed the way she thought about health, nourishment, and the shortcuts that one is tempted to take. Sunaina Roshan urged her fans to always choose nourishment and patience, and asked them to share the story if it resonated with someone.

Sunaina Roshan and Hrithik's mom, Pinkie, also commented on her tough journey to recovery from a state of coma. Pinkie shared that Sunaina has relived her story after 25 years, which is overwhelming for her. Pinkie revealed remembering how Sunaina fought what she underwent strongly mentally and physically. Pinkie further commented:

"I just had my tears rolling, flowing till Doctor Farouk Udwadia finally, after 3 weeks, said your out of danger now, but you have a long journey ahead for full recovery. My regards and respect for Dr Udwadia, his team and Breach Candy Hospital, which became our home for a really long time. God bless you, my daughter, for your courage and will to fight and survive. Unbreakable."

Sunaina also added on how she recovered from her tough path to recovery and shared that she was in the hospital for a month after being diagnosed with tuberculosis meningitis. She was then stuck at home for four more months to avoid a relapse. Heavy medication, all because her immunity had crashed. The reason for the same was crash dieting, and it was then that she realised no goal was worth risking one's life. In an earlier video, Sunaina shared her leg injury, which had left her bedridden as she had almost pushed herself to a crash diet. Sunaina had earlier also revealed that she had been fighting alcoholism and that she had been to a rehab centre to feel better about herself. Her family was always supportive of her decisions. Sunaina's father, Rakesh, also shared that her experience gives her a lot of strength.
