If you think that understated elegance is cliché and simplicity is simply unforgivable, then you are a true luxe girl at heart. So if you want to plan a truly fabulous event that your guests will remember as the ultimate wedding, then you are in the right place.
The Theme
You want your guests to be totally inspired by your wedding and think, “Wow! I wish my own wedding was like that!”
First, you need to pick a glamorous theme and ensure that it permeates every aspect of your wedding, right from the invitation to the decoration to your wedding dress.
The Invitations
If you are a traditional kinda gal, you may want to include a lovely gold plated Ganesh with the invitations, as a symbol of prosperity. Why not include a lovely Laila Motwane sari for female guests and perhaps a Satya Paul wallet for the gents? They are more affordable than you think, and they add a lovely personal touch to the usually generic wedding invitations that your guests will remember fondly.
The Accommodations

Personalization is the mantra of the day. So the one thing that truly luxe brides don’t want is for their wedding to be like everyone else’s. Staying in a generic hotel room while you attend somebody’s wedding…. so boring. But staying in a royal tent for a Rajasthani themed wedding? Or how about putting up in a tree house (call them arboreal abodes, if you prefer) for an Amazon themed wedding? Or how about living in a beach shack for a beach wedding? This type of innovative, out of box thinking will help you to generate ideas on how to treat your guests in a manner that they will remember all their lives.
The Décor
While planning the décor for your wedding ceremony, you want to show something totally unique. You want them to sigh and be totally amazed by your wedding. You want to show them something that they have never seen before. At least, you do if you are luxe bride to be at heart.
Instead of having the wedding venue lighted by the usual crystal chandeliers, why not get a life sized Waterford crystal tree chandelier? If your wedding reception is being held indoors, then why not have the venue decorated with exotic South American orchids and lilies? The brightness of these flowers will definitely complement your attire!
You don’t necessarily have to blow a bundle
The Menu
The food that is served at the wedding is always a hot topic for discussion. So you don’t want to let your guests down, do you? When it comes to food, people do not like to move too far out of their comfort zone. Make sure that there are plenty of live counters, whether for chaat, salad, dessert, tandoor or the main course. Or try to make it fun in some other way, like having a chocolate fountain.
Last, but certainly not the least, don’t forget to have the right luxe attitude as you sashay down the aisle!
