Questions: It was my dream to have a prolific wedding and my dream is soon to become a reality. All the preparations for the wedding are over. The hall that we booked for our wedding is simply great and so I and my would-be husband have decided to conduct our reception in it as well. Apart from the place being great, we can also have the package for both wedding and reception at discounted rates. But I am little apprehensive about it. Is having the wedding and reception in the same hall a good idea? Won’t the environ give a monotony to the whole affair? Will the guests feel trapped?
Answer: Just don’t tax yourself unnecessarly with such thoughts. Many wedding halls are not huge ballrooms and so guests are quite comfortable with the idea of getting trapped. There are many ways to deal with this ‘monotony’.
Arrange for dinner or lunch in the open lawn instead of being inside closed doors. This will help the guests get a change. Meanwhile, the hall staff can change the look and feel of the hall according to your likings. So when your guests return inside the hall, they greeted by a different flavour altogether!
Make a hang out area for your guest. A place your guests can ease themselves out of the regular hullabaloo of the wedding and spend some conversational time with friends away from any noise.
Also you can keep your guests entertained with a lot of different options. Arrange for musicians who can play songs on request.
If the venue has a resting lounge, you can ask your guests to take some rest till the reception begins. This will not only help you take a breather but also will help your regain their energy for another episode of fun and frolic.
