Hina Khan's father had left for the heavenly abode after suffering from a heart attack. The news had come as a shocker for her fans as his sudden demise had taken a toll on the family. And as if that wasn't enough, Hina had tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after her father's death.

Hina Khan had informed her fans about her COVID positive diagnosis by sharing a post on her IG handle, which could be read as "In these extremely difficult and challenging times for me and my family, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following the guidance of my doctors, I have home quarantined myself and taking all precautions. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. All I need is your prayers. Be safe and take care."
A few hours back, Hina Khan took to her IG stories and shared an array of unseen pictures with her late father. Her posts featured throwback pictures of her father from different occasions and vacations. Hina also posted some beautiful candid moments with her father, laughing and hugging him. To express her love and give tribute to her late father, Hina Khan had changed her IG bio to, "Daddy's strong girl." Her heartwarming gesture had won everyone's hearts. On May 1, 2021, Hina had penned an emotional note on her IG handle. She had posted two masked pictures and had written, "A Helpless Daughter. Who can’t even be with her mother to comfort her, when she needs her the most. Dear people, times are tough very tough for not just us, but everyone around. But there's a saying, tough times don’t last, tough people, do. And I am, was and will always be my daddy’s strong girl. Send in your prayers please. Let there be light. Dua."

Hina Khan was very close to her father and often shared pictures and videos of happy moments with him on her social media handles. Last year during the lockdown, Hina had shared numerous funny videos featuring her dad. In one of such videos posted on June 3, 2020, Hina had taught her followers how to make Neem face mask with her father by her side. The actress had shared step-by-step details of the same, and we could see her curious father keeping a close eye on his daughter and waiting to try it out. Later, in the video, Hina had applied it to her father's face, and his expressions were hilarious. Last year on Eid, Hina had asked her father for Eidi, but he had refused. And the actress was upset with him because of it. She had shared an IG story, revealing the same.
Once Hina Khan's father had confiscated her credit and debit cards because she was spending too much money. On October 30, 2020, Hina had shared a video, in which she had told her father that she has no debit or credit cards, and he had informed her that he has blocked all her cards. Hina, in a state of shock, had asked "You blocked all my cards, kyun? You can't be blocking all my cards. How do I shop? And what if I want to buy coffee?" To which, her father had said, "I will give you Rs 200 for the coffee, and you can take cash from me." Hina had then insisted him to return all her cards, but her father had said, "You will not be getting your cards."
