If you are a ‘90s kid, you will know the magic that the singer, actor, songwriter, and music composer, Himesh Reshammiya weaves. He had started his career as a music composer with the film, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and had made his acting debut with the film, Aap Kaa Surroor. He is one of the finest music composers that the Indian music industry has and his songs become an instant hit. Be it his first song as a singer, Aashiq Banaya Aapne or the songs from his debut film like Tera Mera Milna, Tere Bina, his every song work as a melody to ears. Himesh has been active in Hindi cinema for 23 years now and has built a lavish life for himself.
Talking about Himesh Reshammiya’s personal life, at the mere age of 21, Himesh had married a girl named Komal, who was rarely spotted with him. Due to lack of compatibility, in 2016 the duo had filed for a divorce and in 2017, they had ended their 22 years long wedding. They have a son named Swayam together. It was on May 11, 2018, that Himesh had secretly tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend and actress, Sonia Kapoor in an intimate wedding. The duo lives together in a lavish house and their social media is proof of it.

Yes, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor have a personal home theatre in their house. The room is designed in a similar manner to give you a perfect theatre feel. With lights at the ceiling, a huge white screen, black recliners and a projector, the room is exactly what a theatre looks like. Also, not to forget, a huge poster of Himesh is placed behind the recliners.
As you step into Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor’s kitchen, on both sides, there are coffee tables placed. While one side of the coffee area has a white table with a mustard couch and pale yellow chairs with forest-themed paint on the wall, the other side of the coffee area has a white table with orange couches. The kitchen also has a French window with a balcony outside. The entire kitchen is made up of yellow and white gloss sheets with wooden cabinets.
Sonia also has some quirky rules for her kitchen and the ‘operational hours’ are mentioned on a board outside. The board reads “Monday - Closed, Tuesday - No Service, Wednesday - Half-Day, Thursday - Out Shopping, Friday - Day Off, Saturday - Eat Out, Sunday - Day of Rest.”
With floor to the ceiling glass wall on one side for the balcony to the textured wall on the bedside, work station and king size bed, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor’s bedroom is a spacious place. The wooden floor adds more classic touch to their bedroom.
Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor’s glasshouse comes with a big terrace. The terrace has glass walls at boundaries with a big swimming pool and fancy lights. The sitting area at the terrace has some artistic furniture giving retro vibes. Their terrace gives a beautiful view of Mumbai's skyline.

On May 11, 2020, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor had marked their second anniversary and the two had shared filmy pictures with each other on their respective social media handles. Himesh had wished Sonia as “Wedding anniversary, Wishing you and I, love youuuuuuuuuu” and “Missing the cinemas, full on filmigiri on wedding anniversary, love you.” On the other hand, Sonia had captioned her post as “Happy anniversary to my BETTER-IN-EVERY-WAY HALF, love this super filmy pic of ours.”
Himesh Reshammiya had also put in some extra efforts to make his wife, Sonia Kapoor’s day special by gifting her something personalised. Well, Himesh had composed a song, Aashna for her. In an interview with IANS, Himesh had remarked:
"I'm happy that Sonia loved this song, as it had to be super special. She has a great ear for music and since she is already very fond of my other new songs that will come out soon, this song composed on such a special day had to be even better."
On July 23, 2019, when Himesh Reshammiya had turned 46, his wife, Sonia Kapoor had planned a beautiful surprise for the birthday boy. While Himesh was working on his birthday, Sonia had surprised him on the sets of his show with a homemade cake. In a conversation with Mumbai Mirror, gushing about the same, Himesh Reshammiya had said:
“It’s so romantic and relatable that I had tears in my eyes when reading it. I’m so happy with my gift which makes this birthday unforgettable and timeless. I will surely use this poem in one of my compositions.”
Sonia had also written poetry for Himesh. Revealing how much he had liked her poetry, Sonia Kapoor had remarked:
“Music is Himesh’s life. Whatever I feel for him, I have written in the form of a poem. I didn’t know he would love it so much”
