Hilaria Baldwin is a no-nonsense, straightforward woman who is not afraid to showcase her real side and the reality of her marriage with Alec Baldwin. Recently, in an August 2026 interview with Fox News Digital, she candidly shared that she has had some marital issues with her 26-year-older husband, Alec Baldwin. The duo have been married for over 15 years, and it would be unusual if they didn't face any ups and downs in their relationship.
Speaking about the same, Hilaria shared that both she and Alec had their respective issues; however, they have stayed by each other in such times. As per Hilaria, supporting one another through thick and thin is what keeps their relationship going. She shared that her bond with Alec had gotten stronger by going through tough times together. Her exact words were:
"Both Alec and I, through our ups and our downs and our sideways, we've wanted to be there. And I think that that's what's kept us strong."
Recalling their 15 years of togetherness, Hilaria Baldwin shared that it has given her enough knowledge to be able to give marriage lessons to her peers. She revealed that her friends come to her for advice when they start a new relationship or go through a rocky phase in their current relationship. At such times, Hilaria has only one piece of advice for them: their partners need to be equally invested in finding solutions to their issues.
According to Hilaria, if someone doesn't want to take responsibility or be there for their partner during tough times, then their relationship will never work. She revealed that her marriage with Alec Bladein survived for over 15 years because they had that kind of understanding and were there for each other through thick and thin. Hilaria Baldwin was quoted by Fox News Digital as saying:
"Oh, it's been more than 15 years. We met February 2011. You both have to want to be there...Whenever my friends are coming to me, and they're like it's a new relationship, or they're having a bump in it, I say, if both people don't really want to be there through your difficult moments, through your best moments, then it's just not going to probably work out."

Alec Baldwin met Hilaria Baldwin for the first time at a restaurant in New York in 2011. Within a year of dating, Alec proposed to Hilaria in a dreamy setting. After two months of their engagement, the duo got married on June 30, 2012. Their wedding was attended by many A-list celebrities, including Tina Fey, Woody Allen, Mariska Hargitay, Lorne Michaels, and a few others.
Alec and Hilaria are parents to seven kids, including four sons and three daughters. Though Alec is way older than Hilaria and is a very respected figure in Hollywood, it is Hilaria who makes most decisions regarding their kids. Calling herself an "alpha parent", Hilaria shared on the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast:
"Alec and I are both extremely fiery. I believe—and he would say this —I'm the alpha parent. There's certain things that he knows he has to ask my permission for with them. It's like, 'Oh, can they have this whatever. And I'm like, 'No. They cannot have this whatever.' [Or] 'Can they go?' 'No. They cannot.'"
