Still hailed as the Dream Girl, Hema Malini is ageing like fine wine. In her personal life, Hema tied the knot with Dharmendra in 1980, and together, they were blessed with two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Now, she opened up about some filmmakers' disgraceful demands.
In an interview with the Lehren Dot Com for their official Lehren Retro YouTube channel, Hema Malini opened up about how she faced a troubling time with some filmmakers. She revealed a filmmaker made a deplorable demand when she was shooting a scene. The yesteryear actress mentioned that when she told the filmmaker that without pinning a saree, the loose end would slide down, the latter replied that they wanted something like that only. However, the actress was upset due to this. Hema shared:
“He (filmmaker) wanted to shoot some kind of a scene. I always put a pin on my saree. I said, ‘saree niche gir jayegi’. They said that’s what we want.”

In the same interview, Hema mentioned that today's filmmakers don't work hard to make their actors look good. Thus, she isn't sure whether she will work again or not. Further, Hema claimed that the ace filmmaker, Raj Kapoor first approached her to do his film, Satyam Shivam Sundaram. However, Raj Kapoor was sure that Hema wouldn’t do a film like that. And when he asked Hema about the same, her mother, sitting beside her, also moved her head in dismissal. Hema revealed:
“He (Raj Kapoor) said this is such a film (Satyam Shivam Sundaram), you will not do it but I am keen that you do it.”

A while back, Hema Malini attended a traditional wedding of the daughter of popular lyricist and poet Narayan Aggarwal. Taking to her IG handle on December 9, 2022, she posted stunning glimpses of the wedding festivities. For the event, Hema wore a magenta saree and paired it with a similar-hued blouse adorned with polka dots. To accessorise her look, Hema opted for a diamond choker, a three-tiered diamond necklace, two jhumkas, a bracelet, red bangles and a ring to elevate her look. Upon researching, we discovered that the saree was from the Banaras-based brand, Warp ‘n Weft by Sagrika Rai, with a price tag of Rs. 69,090.

Even at the age of 74, Hema's charm is simply unmissable. In addition, she shares a beautiful bond with her daughters, Esha and Ahana. Proof of the same is found on their respective social media handles. For instance, on August 1, 2022, Esha took to her IG handle and posted a cutesy IG story cheering for her mother, Hema Malini, who turned cover girl for a magazine. On the cover, Hema looked unrecognisable in a Western ensemble. She donned a yellow sleeveless top with beige pants and a white sleeveless jacket over it.
