Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleIn a piece of tragic news, it has been revealed that actress Hayden Panettiere has passed away. She was best known for her role in Heroes and Nashville. Hayden’s sudden demise has left fans in complete shock, as she died at the age of 36, just five days before her 37th birthday. Amid her death, here's a look at when she sparked health concerns after the death of her brother, late actor Jansen Panettiere.
Hayden Panettiere had sparked health concerns due to her slurred speech and demeanor
Before Hayden Panettiere’s death, a video of her speaking with People began circulating online. Many viewers expressed their concern after they noticed her speech and demeanor in the video. Some even pointed out that Hayden appeared to be slurring her words and that she had a hard time keeping her eyes open throughout the interview. Social media users said that they found the video rather “disturbing.”
For those unaware, in the interview, the actress opened up about the death of her brother, Jansen Panettiere, in 2023. As the video continued to spread online, netizens began speculating about her health and sobriety. Things escalated to the point that some commenters called on the outlet to remove the video.
Eventually, Hayden had to address the reaction by sharing a statement on her Instagram. She said that she found the situation “unfathomable” and got mad that she was “in this position.”

However, Hayden also noted that she found it necessary to “address it in a space where I won't be criticized for how fast or slow I speak.” According to the actress, the reason she appeared that way in the video was that she did not sleep for two days before her interview. This was because at that time, her dog was recovering from an emergency surgical procedure. She added that the interview, which came out after an eight-hour shoot, had actually “started well” but that part was not shown in the video that was posted. In her words:
"I hadn’t slept for two days prior to the shoot due to one of my dogs who was recovering from an emergency surgical procedure. I was exhausted. My rep stopped the interview early as it became obvious that I was fading - especially as the subject matter became heavier.”
That's not all, Hayden explained her experience in the interview further and said that she had actually asked if it was possible to re-do it another day. She was also willing to get on a Zoom call for the same. However, the interviewer assured her and her rep that it wouldn't be necessary, noting that it was an emotional and heartfelt interview. She stated:
"We asked the interviewer if we could re-do it another day or do a follow-up interview on Zoom. She assured us that it wasn’t necessary, and that she felt it was an emotional and heartfelt interview. We were also told they would edit it and that it would be a beautiful piece."
Hayden Panettiere said it was nobody’s business if she was on medication or not
Hayden went on to say that grief looks different on everyone. Clearly offended by the fans’ speculations, the actress said that it was nobody's business whether she was on medication or not. She said, “Grief looks different on everyone. Whether or not I am on medication is none of anyone’s business and is between me and my doctor.”
Hayden reiterated that mental health is super important. Calling herself a “work in progress,” she said:
"Mental health is so important, and I hope those reading this now understand that what you say hiding behind a computer screen can have a detrimental impact on someone. Like I’ve said before, I am a work in progress. We all are."

Rest in peace, Hayden Panettiere.
