Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor is all set to embrace motherhood for the first time, and the mommy-to-be is enjoying every bit of her pregnancy phase. From sharing jaw-dropping pictures of her maternity shoot to posting glimpses of her pregnancy cravings, Sonam knows how to cherish the beautiful phase of her life. Everyone from the Kapoor family is super excited to welcome the little one into their lives. Be it Sonam's father, Anil Kapoor sharing his excitement of becoming a nanu soon or his wife, Sunita Kapoor counting the days of the little munchkin's arrival. But amidst the excitement, Sonam's brother, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor has something else to say.
On March 21, 2022, the Neerja actress had taken the internet by storm by announcing the good news with her husband, Anand Ahuja. Sonam was seen cradling her baby bump in the pictures while lying on a couch, donning a black-monokini dress. Alongside the love-filled pictures, she had captioned it as:
"Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can't wait to welcome you. #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022.”

In an interview with India Today, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's brother, Harsh Varrdhan, requested privacy for his sister. He said that though Sonam is popular and has millions of well-wishers and fans all over the nation, she and her husband, Anand Ahuja deserve privacy to experience this 'sacred' and intimate phase. Harsh can be quoted as saying:
"I think it's nice that everybody is kind of wanting to know about her, because Sonam is such a big personality. So, obviously, everybody wants to share that happiness. But also, I think it's a very intimate and personal experience for the two people and it would also be important to respect their privacy in a way, because I think when you love someone and they're producing someone that you love, it's kind of sacred. It's not to prove anything to anybody or it's not for the world. It's for you. So, it would be nice to kind of give them that space as well."

In the same interview, Anil Kapoor expressed the joy and happiness of his family in welcoming a baby into their lives. However, the doting daddy said that the only thing he wants from God is for the baby to be healthy. In his words:
"Right now we are just praying to God and are very happy. We are just waiting for D-Day and praying that the child is healthy. It is very difficult to explain all our feelings in words right now, but definitely, we are super happy and excited."

Earlier, talking about Sonam Kapoor's work-life balance after embracing motherhood, her father and superstar, Anil Kapoor had said she would be a 'passionate mother'. He had further given examples of his wife, Sunita Kapoor and her sister, Kavita Singh, and had said they had worked all their lives, and most probably, Sonam would also follow in their footsteps and become a working mother. Anil could be quoted as saying:
"All of them have always worked all their lives. My wife has always worked in America. Sonam's maasi is one of the best interior decorators, and even my mother-in-law used to work a lot. Sonam also loves working and she is a very passionate actress, a passionate wife and daughter, and would be a passionate mother, too. Whatever she does, she does it with a lot of heart. She's all heart, everybody knows that. She's very generous, very giving."
We cannot keep calm to get hold of the first pictures of Sonam and Anand's little one!
