Harsh Chhaya's Cryptic Note Goes Viral, Netizens Guessed It To Be Linked With Ex-Wife, Shefali Shah

Harsh Chhaya and Shefali Shah’s separation in 2000 became a highly publicised matter at that time. The couple parted ways after nearly six years of marital bliss. Recently, Harsh shared a cryptic note on his Facebook about an actor couple who got divorced almost 25 to 30 years ago. The actor’s now-deleted post has sparked curiosity among netizens who guessed that Harsh pointed it at his ex-wife, Shefali. A user shared the post and raised the same question.

What was Harsh Chhaya's post all about?

Recently, Harsh shared a lengthy note on his Facebook account. In the cryptic note, Harsh mentioned an actor couple who got divorced approximately 25 to 30 years ago. He mentioned that the couple’s separation was quite a news back then. He then went on to say that over time, one of them avoids talking about what went wrong in their relationship, while on the other hand, the other person is as if waiting to speak about in every occasion. He wrote:

"So an actor couple got divorced some 25-30 years ago. It was quite a news then. Over time, one of them avoids talking about it and passes it off as done and dusted, it's over, move on .. but she is as if always waiting .. any new release or a stage that gets a mic in hand and she makes it a point to let the world know how bad it was even after two and a half decades."

In the same note, Harsh mentioned that the actress who got divorced years ago recently worked with a Bengali lady director, whom she told that her ex-husband used to beat her. The lady director had conveyed this information to a common friend of the former couple who knew about the whole divorce thing. So, the common one clarified the facts and said to the lady director that it was a false information that had been made by the actress, as it was she who fell in love with another man, who is a director and producer. He wrote:

"Turns out, recently, a Bengali lady director who has made a film with the actress some time ago, unwittingly, was telling one of the couple's old friends that her ex used to even beat this actress. The common friend, like quite a few of them, was close enough to the couple and knew about the whole divorce thing inside out, as did a lot of other contemporaries from then. So this friend let the lady director know that the actress is lying and simply walked out because she fell for the director-producer."

Further in the note, Harsh highlighted how the actress keeps repeating the same story. While earlier their close friends keep quite out of respect for the actress’s ex-husband, they now find it irritating. Some also find it amusing now that they know the other side of the story. He wrote:

"Every time she now starts her story, the ex and the contemporaries from then find it amusing that there she goes again. Friends too kept out of this ever since at the behest of the ex, and everyone moves on anyway, but the friends are now a bit irritated that she continues with her rant to this day so now they make it point to let people know who think they figured it all just by hearing one side of it."

A user took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared Harsh Chhaya’s cryptic note and raised the question whether he pointed at his ex-wife, Shefali Shah, who is now married to director and producer, Vipul Shah. Soon after, netizens flooded the comment section. A user wrote, "Absolutely no doubt about it. Shefali Chhaya has been talking about her divorce even after 25 years. Anything for a good story or to become a 'strong woman'. How would she feel if her ex-husband also started bad-mouthing her?"
