Popular filmmaker, Hansal Mehta is riding high both on the personal and professional fronts at the moment. After announcing his critically-acclaimed web series, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story's sequel, Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, on May 24, 2022, Hansal has made another big announcement today, and it has made his close friends and fans super-happy. The filmmaker announced that he got married to his longtime partner, Safeena Husain, in an intimate wedding ceremony in California.
The filmmaker has also dropped a series of pictures from his wedding with Safeena Husain on his social media handles. The wedding ceremony was long due, and after 17 years of togetherness, Safeena and Hansal delighted their fanbase by fulfilling their much-awaited wish to see them getting married. However, Hansal and Safeena went for an intimate wedding, and the pictures from the same are simply unmissable.

On May 25, 2022, Hansal Mehta took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures from his impromptu wedding ceremony with his longtime partner, Safeena Husain. After being together for the last 17 years and welcoming two beautiful daughters, Kimaya Mehta and Rihanna Mehta, finally the couple got hitched in an intimate wedding ceremony. Hansal and Safeena signed the wedding documents in the presence of their friends, family and two daughters. Along with the pictures from their wedding ceremony, Hansal penned a sweet note in the caption, and it can be read as:
"So after 17 years, two children, watching our sons growing up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life this was also impromptu and unplanned. Our vows however were truthful and but for this little ceremony they would never have been said. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has."

For the unversed, Hansal Mehta's wife, Safeena Husain is a social worker by profession and is the Founder of the famous non-profit organisation, Educate Girls, which works towards providing adequate and proper education to girls in the rural areas of India. Safeena had won numerous titles and accolades for her incredible work in lifting the rural girls with her constant efforts towards their development. Also, not many people are aware that she is the daughter of the late iconic actor, Yusuf Husain, who had worked in numerous Hindi movies and daily soaps in his illustrious career.
For the uninitiated, Hansal Mehta was previously married to Sunita Mehta and together, they had welcomed two sons, Jai Mehta and Pallava Mehta. However, after being together for 11 years, the couple had got separated in 2000, and it was on July 25, 2015, when Sunita had passed away due to cancer.
