At that time, Hannah was cycling when a car crashed into her. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but the boxer was eventually declared dead.
The fatal incident soon led to an official investigation. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the person driving the car has been identified as Charles Eric Medina. Did Charles Eric Medina know Hannah Rapp?
Soon after Hannah Rapp’s tragic death, Charles Eric Medina was arrested by the authorities and was charged with manslaughter. Even though not many details are available about Charles, reports claim that Charles Medina is from Navasota, Texas. Reportedly, he was born on March 4, 1995, and he is 31-year-old, as of 2026.
Coming to his physical appearance, he is a white man of approximately 6 feet. He has black hair and brown eyes. As of now, the authorities have not revealed the motive behind killing Hannah Rapp; however, it looks like Charles knew the boxer and had the intention of harming her. However, nothing has been confirmed by the investigators.
Fans believe Charles Medina intentionally killed Hannah Rapp
For those who do not know, Hannah Rapp died on the morning of July 18, 2026, at around 10 a.m. According to Brazos County Sheriff's Office, the much-celebrated boxer was cycling with another bicyclist, when a vehicle driven by Charles passed them.
However, Charles allegedly stopped his vehicle, reversed and crashed with one of the cyclists, who was eventually identified as Hannah Rapp. She was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead. The Sheriff's office confirmed her demise and shared:
"The Brazos County Sheriff's Office extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Hannah Rapp during this difficult time."
Later, the investigators shared an official statement, in which they explained the entire incident and how Hannah Rapp passed away. As per reports, their statement was:
"During the course of the investigation, investigators learned that the driver of the vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Charles Medina, had passed two bicyclists traveling along FM 159. After passing the bicyclists, Mr. Medina stopped his vehicle, reversed, and struck one of the cyclists. At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident. The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and review all available information."
Soon after the news of Hannah Rapp’s death made headlines, multiple fans showered love on the boxer and prayed for her family. Amid that, a few netizens expressed their frustration and claimed that Charles intentionally killed Hannah. One user commented, "This is such a huge loss for our community, for the boxing world, but mostly for all who love her. Horribly, devastatingly tragic. I’m praying for all who are grieving. Rest easy, champ."
Another user wrote, "I don't understand why it says manslaughter? This POS murdered her!" A third user penned, "Rest in peace. You had so much ahead of you and were such an inspiration." A fourth user, who appears to be a fellow boxer said:
"Rest in peace. Honored I got to share the ring with you. I never understood when our paths crossed the role you and your career would play in my own life. You have inspired me. I know you will be missed. And my prayers will forever be with your family."
