According to a recent report, the stunning actress was accused of physically harming her son during an altercation with him. Soon, 12-year-old Maceo called up his father and Halle’s former husband, Olivier Martinez, to take him away.

Amid the choking incident, Halle Berry’s private text message to her husband was exposed. Martinez submitted screenshots of the messages as exhibits in his request for a restraining order against the actress. According to the court documents, Martinez said Berry messaged him after the incident.
As per the documents submitted by Martinez, Berry ‘felt terrible about what happened last night’. When he informed Berry about getting a call from their son to pick him up, Berry responded, “No, I'm not ok with it. He wants to fight his mother?? What kind of kid are we raising." In his filing, Martinez also claimed that he did not know what was happening at Berry's home but claimed the pair had been "fighting too much."
Martinez also accused Maceo of being disrespectful and said she felt she had "no say on anything," according to the exhibit. Martinez also said Berry was unhappy with Maceo’s conduct toward her, as she felt he was disrespectful. Berry's response, according to the screenshot, was emphatic: "This is wrong, Olivier. I'm his mother, and this is wrong! He had no respect for his mother, and this should not be ok for you as his father!!!”

Halle Berry is going through a difficult period as she is facing allegations of being violent towards her minor son, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez. According to court documents filed in early October 2026, Oliver claimed that Halle choked their son during a heated argument that took place on September 26, 2026.
Martinez's filing alleges Berry physically confronted Maceo while the boy was playing a virtual-reality game. Not just this, Martinez also accused Berry of grabbing the child around the neck during the altercation and has also alleged previous incidents involving MMA-style chokeholds. The filing also contains a screenshot of a call history Martinez submitted to support his account, showing several incoming and outgoing calls associated with Maceo.
Martinez said he got a 27-second call from his son, Maceo. During the call, the young boy appeared scared and panicked. While he was on his way to Berry’s home, Maceo texted him. One of the messages can be read as, “Are u almost here”, to which he said, "on my way.” The child then allegedly pleaded, "Are u here? Please come.” Responding to the message, Martinez replied, “8 minutes," followed by an "Okay" from the child.
The former couple currently shares custody, but Martinez is seeking changes, including no visits between Berry and Maceo for now. The court partially granted and partially denied the request, ordering Berry to stay at least 100 yards away from him. Berry responded to the accusations and vehemently denied the damaging claims. Halle responded through her attorney Marina Beck, who told TMZ that the court filing was baseless.
