Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale had the most painful ending to their marriage. According to social media reports, the ex-couple had been married for 13 to 14 years. The marriage ended after Galvin reportedly entered into a three-month relationship with his family's longtime nanny, Mindy Mann. For Gwen, it will always be impossible to forget February 9, 2015. This is because it was the day when she had learnt that her husband of 14 years, Gavin, had cheated on her with a nanny. Her world had come entirely crashing down after the incident.

Gwen had been through torture and hell when she found out about this secret that had been happening under her nose for some time. Family sources close to her exclusively had told US Weekly that:

"The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone. One of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen.”

Gwen Stefani had also found out the fact that her husband, Gavin and the nanny were planning to meet up for sex. She had discovered all the information on the family's iPad. The nanny was soon fired, but Gavin tried to convince Stefani that they had just had a flirty exchange. When he had finally accepted that he was having an affair with the nanny, it was then that the pair decided to end their marriage.

Was Gavin Rossdale a regular cheater?

Gavin Rossdale's sexual relationship with nanny, Mindy Mann, had reportedly lasted for three years. It was there when Stefani was pregnant with their child, Apollo. According to old Reddit discussions, Gwen always got the sense that Gavin cheated pretty regularly. She had done an interview on a podcast, and she briefly mentioned that there was cheating prior to her writing Return of Saturn. The post by the Redditor read:

"Then the rumors floating around about him sleeping with women while on tour etc (which according to gossip, Gwen was aware of). There are also the rumors of Gavin being with men, but the Marilyn relationship was already public by the time Gavin and Gwen got married. So I feel like she had to have known about his uh, proclivities before they were married."

The old post had also said that Gavin had crossed some sort of line that was a dealbreaker. Something like, hey, if you want to sleep with women while you're on tour, fine, but don't sleep with the nanny of our children. The post also spoke about how maybe certain details of the affair with the nanny were the dealbreaker, maybe there was other stuff. This is all purely conjecture.

She had then also written Used To Love You in pain, which was like her first heartbreak song after the split. Stefani had shared of how her dreams had all got broken. She just wanted babies, to be married for her whole life. This was what even her parents wanted. Some earlier reports had claimed that Gavin had never seen Gwen without any makeup. This was a post they had two children. She was reportedly very insecure and was also obsessed with perfection and was terrified of Gavin seeing any flaw in her.
