"One thing I will never do on this show is that I don't want to fall in love this time. I want to be single this time. Finally."

Some online users claimed that, since Gullu is a Gujjar, he was married off in his early 20s as per their customs. Others alleged that the 27-year-old got divorced within a few years of marriage and then participated in shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and Bigg Boss. Amid speculation about Gullu's marriage, he told The Times of India that he is not married and that the rumours circulating on social media are absolutely baseless. In his words:

"I don't know where the news of my marriage came up. The pictures on social media are completely fake. I'm not married, and I don't know where the pictures came from."
