However, the reason why he is extremely popular in the UPSC community is the fact that he cleared it on his first attempt. Yes! You read it right. Ayush Goel cleared the UPSC exam in his first attempt to leave everyone in absolute shock and surprise. Popular IAS officer, Ayush Goel was reportedly born in Delhi. However, no official documents confirming his birthplace details are available in the public domain. As per multiple sources, the civil servant was born and raised in the nation's capital, Delhi.

Talking about his formal education, Ayush went to Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya and was among the brightest students. After completing his schooling, Ayush started preparing for the CAT (Common Admission Test) and cracked it with an impressive rank. As a result, he got the chance to study at one of India's most prestigious management institutes, the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
Soon after completing his degree, Ayush was placed at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. as an analyst. As per multiple reliable sources, Ayush had a package of Rs. 28 lakhs per year at J.P. Morgan, which speaks volumes about his intelligence.
It was a proud moment for Ayush's parents, too, as his father used to run a grocery store, and he took a loan of Rs. 20 lakhs in order to support his education. Thus, when Ayush got placed in J.P. Morgan with such a massive package, his parents were overjoyed.

However, soon after joining the multinational company, Ayush Goel left everyone speechless when he opened up about his aspiration to prepare for UPSC. Even his parents were quite sceptical about their son's decision to leave a job with such a hefty package.
However, after some serious discussion with Ayush, they agreed to their son's will to prepare for UPSC. For the unversed, Ayush always wanted to clear UPSC, and when he got the chance to prepare for the same, he gave his all. As per reports, Ayush used to study 8-10 hours per day and followed a disciplined routine to crack India's toughest exam.
After putting his heart and soul into the preparation for UPSC, Ayush Goel cracked the exam with an AIR (All India Rank) 171, leaving his parents, relatives, and known ones in absolute surprise. From clearing UPSC in his first attempt to getting such an impressive rank under the EWS quota, Ayush went against the odds to define his passion for civil services. The youngster set an example that will surely be echoed in UPSC corridors for generations to come.
