Gleb recently sought emergency custody of their children as he said that his ex-wife, Elena, had taken them to Hong Kong without his permission.
Elena Samodanova reveals Gleb Savchenko hasn’t paid child support in ten months
Elena reacted to Gleb’s accusation that she has kept their daughters, Zlata and Olivia, without his permission and stated that the decision was ‘mutually agreed upon following their divorce. As per the court documents, Elena denied the allegations levied by Gleb and instead revealed that he didn’t pay any child support for the past ten months.
Elena further revealed that she sought assistance through the appropriate child support enforcement authorities before payments resumed. The new filing comes after Glen requested temporary sole legal and physical custody of his and Elena’s 15-year-old daughter Olivia. Glen also claimed that Elena’s move to Hong Kong was temporary and that she refused to return to the United States.
Glen also claimed that Elena had already started her new life with her fiancé along with their daughters. He, on the other hand, has to travel to Hong Kong each year to meet his daughters. In his words:
“Instead, she has remained in Hong Kong, obtained permanent Hong Kong residency, enrolled the children in an expensive private school, got the children a cat, became engaged and had another child with her fiancé. Elena has essentially established her life with her fiancé and our children. This has functionally forced me to travel to Hong Kong each year to visit the children, which I have consistently done despite Elena’s efforts taken to drastically limit my access to our daughters.”

Elena Samodanova married her fellow dancing partner, Gleb Savchenko, in July 2006. They had first met at a training camp in Moscow. Eventually, during their 14 years of marriage, they became one of the most famous dancing couples. Gleb and Elena also welcomed two daughters, Olivia and Zlata. However, over time their relationship changed, and cracks started appearing in their happy marriage.
Glen and Elena soon announced their separation, and Elena also accused Gleb of repeated infidelity. In turn, he denied cheating and claimed that their marriage had become emotionally unhealthy. He also accused Elena of being unfaithful, claiming that there were pictures of her making out with former DWTS troupe member Vlad Kvartin in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Gleb even alleged that he suspected something was going on between Elena and Vlad, especially after he was approached for DWTS Russia.
Glen also confirmed that he never cheated on Elena. However, he had to leave because he was feeling extremely depressed in their relationship. Later, their divorce was finalised in 2021. After their divorce, the ex-couple agreed to share the legal and physical custody of their daughters. However, Elena moved to Hong Kong after 2 years, where she continued her dance career. She also took their daughters, and she is now engaged to fellow dancer Vlad Kvartin. The couple even welcomed a daughter, Victoria, in late 2025.
