During the nine months of pregnancy, the to-be mommy looks forward to her baby shower when her entire family and friends pamper her with lots and lots of love. Mainly, it is the duty of the daddy-to-be to ensure that the lady, who will bestow him with the greatest gift in life, must be pampered to the fullest. And Kapil Sharma, being a super-loving husband that he is, has made sure that his expecting wife, Ginni Chatrath is pampered well during her pregnancy. It was only a few months back when Kapil Sharma and his preggy wife, Ginni Chatrath had attended their writer-friend, Vankush Arora and his wife, Riddhi Bhatt’s baby shower ceremony along with an array of telly stars, including Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti amongst others. While it was endearing to see Ginni flaunting her baby bump and radiating pregnancy glow at her friend’s baby shower, we were hoping to get a glimpse of her own soon.
Finally, it happened on October 13, 2019, and the official countdown for junior Sharma-Chatrath’s arrival has now begun. Kapil Sharma hosted a baby shower ceremony for his expecting wife, Ginni Chatrath and the soon-to-be-mommy radiated pregnancy glow in a pink gown. Ginni accentuated her look with a floral tiara and a diamond neckpiece. On the other hand, the elated daddy-to-be was all smiles for the camera in a polka-dotted blue shirt and denim. Kapil Sharma is riding high on the professional front and with the high TRP of his stand-up show, The Kapil Sharma Show, he doesn’t want it to be affected when he takes paternity leave. As per a report, “Ginni’s due date is in mid-December and Kapil has already started planning work on his comedy show, to make sure that the on-air scheduling isn’t interrupted. Simultaneously, he is making sure to spend time with Ginni in the last trimester.”
Just a few hours after soon-to-be parents, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had left for their babymoon to Canada in July 2019, the former had finally let the cat out of the bag. After months of speculations about Ginni’s pregnancy, Kapil had confirmed the same to the Mumbai Mirror and had stated, "I just want to take care of my wife and be by her side for now. We are obviously very excited as it's our first kid but my mother is the most excited. She has been waiting for this moment for years now. We are just praying for Ginni and the baby's health." In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapil had shared what preparations are going on in the Sharma household for the arrival of their little one. The elated daddy-to-be said, "Frankly speaking, what will I prepare for? I have no idea about this experience but my entire family is very excited. We are waiting for the new member in the family, be it a baby boy and girl. In terms of preparations, Ginni and I are purchasing a few things and keeping it exciting. We right now don't know if we are purchasing for the boy or girl, hence we are purchasing general things like a pram etc."
Revealing that this is the happiest phase for him, Kapil Sharma had continued, "When you are famous and are unmarried, you feel lonely when you go back home, but now that I am married, I have so much to look forward to. My mother also now spends a lot of time with us and hence we support each other. I have a connection with my mother, when I am in my low phase, she feels low as well and visa versa."
After Kapil Sharma had confirmed that he and his wife, Ginni Chatrath are expecting their first child in December 2019, ‘Laughter Queen’ Bharti Singh, who works with Kapil on The Kapil Sharma Show, had bared her heart out about him and Ginni. Praising Ginni to the fullest, Bharti had revealed in an interview with the TOI, what a darling, the star wife is! She had remarked, “Ginni is such a wonderful and warm person. Whenever the TKSS team visits Kapil bhaiya's house for rehearsals, they are served with delicious food. Even though they have three cooks, Ginni personally looks after everything and instructs them what needs to be done. Even during pregnancy she stands for hours and takes care of everyone's choices.”
Further talking about Kapil Sharma and revealing how he is a changed man after his wedding with Ginni Chatrath, Bharti Singh had continued, “He has changed a lot after marriage. I remember Kapil bhai used to party a lot, but he has stopped everything. He has stopped drinking, smoking and eats ghar ka khaana (home-cooked food). He wraps-up shoot by max 10-10:30 and heads straight home to spend time with his wife Ginni.
