Gigi Hadid had publicly confirmed her pregnancy on the chat show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in April 2020. In September 2020, Gigi and Zayn had welcomed a baby girl, whom they have named, Khai. Post their baby girl's birth, Gigi and Zayn's wedding rumours were rife, but it had gotten shut out. Now, singer, Ingrid Michaelson might have accidentally revealed details about the couple's marriage.
Ingrid Michaelson, 41, who recently collaborated with Zayn Malik for 'To begin again' talked about Zayn in a live IG session on March 29, 2021. She said that the singer (Zayn) is “such a private person and now he’s married and has a child so, he does the things he wants to do.” This is the first time after their daughter, Khai's birth, that any of the couple's friends has talked about their marriage.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are such private people that they have yet to officially show their daughter Khai’s face to the world, even though she’s already six-months-old. Earlier this month, Gigi had accidentally shared a video of her daughter, Khai, on her IG stories and had immediately deleted it. The couples’ fans had come forward and had asked everyone to respect Khai’s privacy and not circulate the video or screenshots of the same on social media. While one user had written, “gigi posted and immediately deleted an insta story where u could see khais face and ppl were reposting it when they clearly don’t want her face out in public”, the other had tweeted, “DELETE THE PICTURES OF KHAI AND DO NOT REPOST THEM. RESPECT ZAYN AND GIGI.”

On September 24, 2020, Gigi Hadid had shared a monochrome picture of her daughter Khai for the first time. The picture had featured cute little fingers of her baby girl. Along with the picture, Gigi had written, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.” On March 8, 2021, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Gigi had shared her love for her daughter and had shared a selfie of herself with a strawberry filter. What had caught our attention was the beautiful necklace wrapped around her neck with her daughter's letters, Khai’s name.
In an interview with Vogue, Gigi had opened up about her delivery. She had said that she had planned her delivery at a New York hospital, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she and Zayn had opted for a home birth. The supermodel had also revealed that she had decided to choose home birth after they had watched the 2008 documentary, The Business of Being Born. Speaking about her delivery, Gigi had stated that it was her mother and the midwife, who had coached her through the pain. In her words, “I know my mom and Zayn and Bella were proud of me, but at certain points, I saw each of them in terror."
