As Ritesh Deshmukh turns a year older today on December 17, 2018, wife Genelia took a journey down the memory lane and shared the cute birthday wish on social media. The actress took to Instagram to express her love all this while to her ‘forever’. She wrote, “Dear Forever I still remember celebrating your birthday on Tujhe Meri Kasam sets.. 17years ago.. Time flies and I have had the opportunity to celebrate so many of your birthdays through all these years..Your birthday will always be most special to me cos it’s the day the world got its best creation and that creation is my partner through thick and thin.. The couple has been very vocal about their magical love story and keeps on sharing the sweet moments on social media for their fans. For those who don’t know, Genelia and Ritesh’s love story was a mixture of drama and lots of love. The actress thought being a chief minister’s son, Ritesh would be a spoil brat and full of tantrums. However, the actor wasn’t close to even what Genelia’s first impression was for him. He came out to be extremely polite and humble. And on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam, the two became friends and then inseparable best friends.
The fondness grew, but no formal proposals were made from any side. But both knew that they feel something beyond friendship for each other. Love wasn’t a sudden thing for them, it evolved slowly and gradually. This year (2018), when Tujhe Meri Kasam film turned 15, Ritesh took to Twitter to share how his life actually changed after the film’s release. The actor wrote, “Genelia didn't speak to me for the first two days during the shoot of the film because my father was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra then”. He further shared an interesting part of their love story and how it began in another tweet, he wrote, “climax of TMK -@geneliad had to slap me-I insisted it 2 b real- 2nd take was OK but i again insisted for 4 more takes.
