Bollywood actress, Geeta Basra talked about her newborn baby boy in her first-ever interview after her delivery and surfaced many details about her second delivery, her husband, Harbhajan Singh's reaction, and much more. It was on July 10, 2021, Geeta and Harbhajan had welcomed their baby boy. Harbhajan had announced his son's arrival with a cute picture. Alongside it, he had expressed his gratitude, "Blessed with a baby boy. Shukar aa Tera maalka."
For the unversed, after a long courtship period, Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra had taken the wedding vows on October 29, 2015, in Jalandhar. It was a big fat Punjabi wedding. After a year, on July 27, 2016, a stork had visited the cute couple, and they had welcomed a little angel in their lives, whom they have lovingly named Hinaya.

In an interview with ETimes, Geeta Basra opened up about her second delivery for the first time and shared many details about her newborn son. When the actress was asked did she wished for a son or a daughter, Geeta stated that she and Harbhajan Singh's only priority was to have a healthy child. She said, "Just a healthy child. If it would have been a daughter again, I would have got another best friend. It's a son and now Harbhajan has got a best friend. But yes, I must tell you that I had an intuition that I'll get a son while I was carrying Hinaya."
Going further in her interview, Geeta Basra also revealed that shopping for her newborn son was quite easy and completed. She said, "Yes. Kapdon mein toh problem nahin hota, unisex stuff easily mil jaata hai and it's pretty standard." The Bhaiaji Superhit actress also stated that she had a normal delivery this time around. Revealing details of the same, she said, "Normal. But it was a very nice experience. I am very thankful for the set of doctors and their staff who attended to me. It was a bit tough at the time of my Hinaya (first child, daughter), though."
Geeta Basra also shared her thoughts about the name of her newborn baby boy and stated that she and Harbhajan have already decided on the name and will announce it probably in the next two days. She said, "Yes, and Harbhajan and I are going to announce it in a day or two. It's the name I had thought of when I was carrying Hinaya five years ago."

The actress also revealed that at the moment, she calls her newborn baby boy by name 'chottu', while her husband, Harbhajan Singh, calls their son, 'Shera'. Geeta Basra also talked about Harbhajan's presence in the labour room right from the first second and said, "Oh yes, right from the word 'Go'. He was taking pictures. He loves kids. He has played a lot with Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar's kids."
The doting father, Harbhajan Singh, was super-happy after the birth of his baby boy. Recalling his reaction right after the birth of their second child, his wife, Geeta Basra, revealed that he was on cloud nine. She said, "He was on cloud nine immediately after seeing the baby. Since then, he has been so joyous that it is to be seen to be believed."
Geeta Basra also revealed their daughter, Hinaya's reaction to being promoted to big sister after the birth of her baby brother. The doting mother stated that her daughter has become extremely responsible. She said, "She's constantly looking at her brother as if it's a toy and has become very responsible. I'm sure Harbhajan would want his son to be a cricketer. Bhajji bowled so marvellously for India."
At the end of her heart-to-heart conversation, Geeta Basra also talked about their baby boy's diaper duties, and the actress revealed that her husband, Harbhajan Singh, is the one who largely helms the responsibility of changing the baby's diapers. She said, "Largely Harbhajan. Before I can even tell him, he's standing right next to our son." In her closing statement, Geeta admitted that she can't wait to see her husband and son playing cricket together in their backyard.
