After dating for 10 years, Geeta Basra had tied the knot with Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh in 2015. A year later, in 2016, the duo had embraced parenthood for the first time as they were blessed with a baby girl, Hinaya Heer. In March 2021, Geeta, Harbhajan and their daughter, Hinaya had announced the actress’ second pregnancy and now, their wait of nine months has come to an end with the arrival of their second child.
To announce their pregnancy on March 14, 2021, Geeta Basra had posted twinning pictures with Harbhajan Singh and their little one, Hinaya on her social media handle. Harbhajan had opted for a blue denim shirt with black denim and Geeta had flaunted her baby bump in a denim dress. Hinaya, on the other side, had looked adorable in a blue denim dress, just like her mommy. Geeta had captioned her post as "Coming soon… July 2021" followed by a heart emoticon.

Finally, the wait is over as Geeta gave birth to a baby boy. Announcing the birth of his second child, Harbhajan Singh shared a picture on his IG handle, which can be read as “A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy. Both Geeta and the baby are doing well. We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well-wishes, for their constant love and support.” He captioned the picture as “Blessed with a baby boy #grateful #babyboy shukar aa Tera maalka.”
After some minutes, Geeta Basra also took to her IG handle and shared a beautiful video announcing the birth of her baby boy. Along with the video, Geeta penned a touching note in the caption, and it can be read as "A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy. We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well-wishes for their constant love and support."
For every parent, the biggest struggle is to make their firstborn understand that there will be another baby in the house. Geeta Basra and Harbhajan Singh had done a great job with it as their little girl, Hinaya was all excited to become a big sister before the birth of her baby brother. On June 28, 2021, Geeta had shared an adorable picture and video of Hinaya on her IG handle, holding a pink and blue balloon, wearing a ‘Soon to be Big Sister’ t-shirt, and expressed her excitement.

Geeta Basra had a surprise baby shower and she had shared glimpses of the same on her IG handle on June 14, 2021. Geeta had opted for an off-shoulder blue-coloured polka-dotted dress with ruffles on the hem for her virtual baby shower. She had posed with the balloon backdrop that had stated ‘Baby.’ She had also shared pictures with her daughter, Hinaya and her husband, Harbhajan Singh.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Geeta Basra had shared how her first pregnancy was different from her second pregnancy as this time it was all about her daughter, Hinaya. She had said, “This pregnancy has been very different like I said. This pregnancy has not been about me. The first pregnancy was all about me, focusing on myself and this one about focusing on Hinaya now because have to see that she still gets the focus and attention.”
