He is married to pilot and mom influencer, Ritu Rathee, and they are blessed with two daughters, Kaira (Rasbhari) and Chaitravi (Pihu). Gaurav is a popular name among Gen-Z and enjoys a massive fanbase. Gaurav and Ritu regularly share some snippets from their lives on social media, leaving their fans to go ROFL.
Recently, Gaurav Taneja attended Varun Alagh's birthday party, which was a planned surprise by the latter's wife, Ghazal Alagh. He took to his IG handle and shared a video from the same, wherein Varun and Ghazal can be seen opening the champagne bottle and cutting a huge birthday cake together. Atop the happy glimpses, Gaurav penned:
"How wives give surprise to their husbands."

Later, the video showed some glimpses of Gaurav getting arrested by the police and sitting in the police van. In one glimpse, he was seen posing with the police officials standing next to the police station. Atop his pictures, the YouTuber penned, "How my wife gives surprise". For the unversed, his video was a dig at his wife, Ritu Rathee, who got him arrested due to her surprise birthday bash in 2022. Sharing the video, Gaurav penned:
"Happy birthday @varunalagh and what a surprise planned by @ghazalalagh."
As soon as Gaurav Taneja dropped the video on social media, he reminded the netizens of his real-life Moye Moye moment. His fans flooded the comment section with their hilarious reactions, which were simply unmissable. One user commented, "Surprise aisa do ki yaad reh jae", another penned, "Par jo bhi ho Bhai, aapka sabse memorable birthday tha."

For the unversed, on July 9, 2022, Gaurav's wife, Ritu Rathee booked an entire metro coach in Noida’s Sec-51 for her hubby's surprise birthday bash and informed their fans about the same on social media. However, her plan was ruined as thousands of fans had gathered at the venue, which had created chaos. After his party had gone wrong, Gaurav was arrested for the violation of Sections 144 and 188 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. However, he was granted bail hours after his arrest by the Noida Police.

In an interview with The Times Of India, Gaurav Taneja talked about his traumatic birthday bash which got him arrested. Sharing details of the same, the YouTuber shared that he had no idea about the crime that he had committed and added that he remembered the day very clearly. Recalling the same, Gaurav stated:
“It was my 36th birthday, and I was at the police station, clueless about the offence I committed. I remember that day so clearly. There was a slow whirring fan at the police station; a police official was sitting in front of me, reading a newspaper. On the other side, there was a prisoner constantly looking at me. I was sitting in their CCTV room, thinking about my wife, daughters and all the fans who had come for us.”
