Gone are the days, when fathers used to hide their emotions and portrayed themselves as a strong man. Nowadays, fatherhood is all about expressing your thoughts and your love for your little one. The new age 'papa bears' are making sure to invest their time in the upbringing of their babies. In fact, they are giving a tough competition to 'mommy bears' by learning lullabies to clam the crying munchkin and taking charge of the diaper duties. For those who don't know, the last few months had been an emotional turmoil for Gaurav. The actor had had lost both his parents to COVID-19 within a gap of just ten days. While the loss is irreplaceable, Gaurav's life is finally getting back on track with the birth of his newborn baby. On September 14, 2020, Gaurav's wife, Hitisha, had given birth to their bundle of joy in a private nursing home in her hometown, Bengaluru.
On October 8, 2020, Gaurav took to his Instagram handle and shared a super adorable picture with his baby boy. In the picture, we can see Gaurav holding his baby on his shoulder as he sleeps peacefully. Alongside it, he wrote a funny caption and it can be read as "His highness keeps his #bum in the air! (Instead of his nose!) Humara #PrinceChopra! (name yet to be announced)." Check it out below:
On September 14, 2020, Gaurav had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared the baby arrival news. The actor had posted a cute picture of two placards from his door, which had revealed that he had embraced the fatherhood journey. Alongside it, he had written, "19-08-2020, 29-08-2020, 14-09-2020. Enlightenment in three dates. The meaning of life, explained in this short span of time, a roller coaster ride, a cycle, never-ending an emotional and physical test. And then divine intervention and a bountiful blessing today. Between the morning and the afternoon, between two placards on the door, everything changed." In an interview with The Times of India, Gaurav had talked about the happy news. He had said, "The last few months have been extremely tough for my family and me. But becoming a father feels like divine intervention from God. Just when you have seen both your parents pass away, and have gone through a tumultuous journey, to see another life come to your home, makes you feel so blessed. I have been in Bengaluru for the past few days. The baby was due after a few days, but Hitisha delivered the baby today. Both of them are healthy and doing well. I can only thank God for this blessing."
Gaurav had also shared whether he was scared of embracing fatherhood amid pandemic, "It is a difficult time right now. And although I was delighted when Hitisha got pregnant, I was also scared at the way the pandemic was progressing. We were taking extreme precautions and since my parents fell sick, I couldn't make this news public. My parents must be elated in heaven to see that I have become a father."
