Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar’s ‘alleged' relationship has been the talk of the town for quite some time. It had started on September 3, 2020, when Gauahar and Zaid had shared a video, dancing on Neha Kakkar's song, Diamond Da Challa. Their chemistry in the video was quite evident and towards the end, Zaid had gone down on his knees and had slided a ring on Gauahar's finger. The actress had captioned the video as "Ye hai Gaane ka asar YA mann ki baat? Jaldi Batao. #GaJa killing it. #DropYourLove Sshhh!" The couple’s fans had wanted them to accept their relationship publically and guess what, the universe heard them and the two have officially accepted the news of their engagement. Taking to their respective IG handles, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar shared a similar picture confirming their engagement. In the picture, Gauahar and Zaid can be seen lost in each other’s eyes, smiling while being surrounded by balloons. While Gauahar opted for a floral suit set, Zaid opted for a mustard shirt. Gauahar can be seen holding a ‘she said yes’ balloon. And in their captions the two used ring emoji tagging each other to confirm their relationship. Take a look:
A few days back, Gauahar and Zaid were holidaying in Goa and the actress had shared a picture, which had shown a sparkling ring on her finger. Other than this, she had shared a picture, holding a man’s hand with a flower strategically placed on her ring finger, leaving fans wondering about the ring. Gauahar is often spotted wearing the same ring on her ring figure, which had led to the speculations of her engagement with Zaid.
The couple is also reported to get married on December 25, 2020. According to ETimes, a source close to Gauahar had informed the leading daily that she is going to tie the knot with Zaid on December 25, 2020, and will be together forever. It is said that the wedding ceremonies will start from December 22, 2020, and it will be an intimate affair with only close friends and family in attendance. Both the families have started preparing for the functions. And as the festivities will take place in Mumbai, Gauahar’s sister, Nigaar Z Khan and others will fly down to India for the wedding. Gauahar has already made it into the hearts of Zaid Darbar’s parents, Ismail Darbar and Ayesha Darbar. In an interview with ETimes, Ismail Darbar had talked about his son's marriage speculations with his alleged GF, Gauahar. The doting daddy had recalled when Gauahar had come to meet them a few days back and all his family members had liked her. He was quoted as saying, "Gauahar was with us for nearly 4 hours; we had a biryani dinner together. If the vibes are not good, I don't think one can sit for more than 4 minutes with anybody in today's times. My son Zaid has told me that they are serious about each other. I have absolutely no objection. As a father, I did tell him once that she is 5 years older than him, and make sure that this is real love before you take the plunge into matrimony."
He had also stated that his wife, Ayesha had liked Gauahar a lot and had found her a genuine partner for their son, Zaid. He had continued, "My son seems sure. And from the time, Gauahar spent with us, I can assure you that she takes immense care of him. Besides, my wife Ayesha has a knack of knowing if a person is genuine after she talks to him/her; she has found Gauahar genuine." In the same interview, Zaid's mother, Ayesha was also present, and she had chipped in and had added, "We are happy in every decision that Zaid takes. He has never differentiated between his mother and me. Gauahar is a very sweet girl. We have left it to them to decide what they want to do with their lives."
