Former Prince, Andrew Returns To Public Eye At Granddaughter's Christening Amidst New Epstein Photos

Ex-prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has made his return to public life, and how. On December 12, 2025, the former prince could be seen attending the christening of his granddaughter, Athena, Princess Beatrice's second child. The christening, which was held at the Chapel Royal at St. James's Palace in London, also saw Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in attendance. This not only marked Andrew's first event since being stripped of his titles, but also the first time he and Sarah have been seen together since then. Now, Andrew's return to the public eye is being met with scrutiny as he is making headlines for appearing in newly released photos from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein.

New batch of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein's estate show former prince, Andrew, among other high-profile figures

On Friday, December 12, 2025, the House of Democrats released its first batch of photographs from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. Over the years, the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein's crimes have gotten media attention many times. A large number of documents belonging to the estate have also appeared in the public domain. In the recently released photos, however, among the high-profile names, the one that caught our eye the most was the former prince, Andrew. Apart from him, Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Richard Brandon were also seen in the photographs.

The Democratic lawmakers initially released 19 photos on the House Oversight Committee, which, according to reports, were only a very small part of the 95,000 that they received from the estate of Epistle. For those unaware, Epstein died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while he was still awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. On this Friday, the Democrats made an addition to the previous 19 photos by releasing 70 more, including images of Epstein's home, him taking a bath, a photo of him with a swollen lip, and a photo of him posing with a book about the scandal.

In the picture featuring Andrew, he is seen standing alongside Bill Gates. Although this image appears to be a cropped version of a professionally taken photograph, the original and complete version of the image also includes King Charles, then the Prince of Wales. It is important to note that none of the newly released pictures showcase Andrew's or the other high-profile figures' involvement in sexual misconduct.

Andrew's reappearance in public amidst the newly released Jeffrey Epstein photos

For those unversed, Andrew initially stepped back from public life almost half a decade earlier, in 2019. This was after a sit-down interview with the BBC in which he discussed his relationship with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. At the time, Epstein's accuser, Virginia Giuffre, also filed a lawsuit against the former prince, allegedly claiming that she was forced to have sex with him three times. Adding to the shocking nature of her claims, she also stated that this included the time when she was still a minor of 17 years of age. In 2022, the lawsuit came to a close when they settled out of court, with Andrew acknowledging no wrongdoing. This was not the end of it, as after she died by sui***e in April, her memoir, which was released in October of the same year, titled Nobody's Girl, renewed her claims against Andrew.

Now, in December 2025, Andrew has reappeared in public to attend a family event. This event was for the christening of his granddaughter, Athena. According to reports, Princess Beatrice was confused about whether it would be the right choice to invite her father. The royal commentator, Meridith Constant, told Fox News:

"Beatrice was in a difficult position. Do you uninvite your father and give the media even more fodder, or do you invite him but keep it very low-key? It's also in the interest of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to keep their distance from their parents' scandals.”
