Fawad Khan is one such name from the Pakistani entertainment industry, who swooned millions of people off their feet with his charming personality and impeccable acting skills. The 42-year-old actor first started his journey in showbiz as a singer. However, he later quit his musical endeavour and ventured into acting. Fawad has even worked in the Indian film industry.
The Pakistani star is mostly known in India for his TV dramas, Humsafar alongside Mahira Khan and Zindagi Gulzar Hai with Sanam Saeed. Fawad even led the Pakistani film industry to its zenith when his film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, entered the 100-crore club, making it the first film from the country to achieve so.

Recently, Fawad had a hearty chat with Ahmad Ali Butt in his podcast, Excuse Me. The duo delved deep into the life of the actor and talked about his career, family, struggles and much more. The Humsafar actor revealed his experience of working with the Pakistani diva, Mahira Khan. For the unversed, Fawad and Mahira have shared the screen for several projects, they are Humsafar, The Legend Of Maula Jatt, and Neelofer, and are set to appear together in the upcoming Netflix series, Jo Bachey Hain Sang Samait Lo.
During the conversation, Ahmad praised the on-screen pairing of Fawad and Mahira and compared their chemistry with Bollywood biggies, Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha and Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. He then asked the actor if he consciously took the decision to work less with Mahira. The 42-year-old then spoke at length about his camaraderie with Mahira and how he felt while working with the latter. He said:
“I think, yes, ye cheez zaroor sochi jati hai because then you kind of kill the novelty of it, but more so I think because ek respect ka bhi relationship ban gaya hua hai that then aap aur zyada careful then, trading professionally. Jin logo ke saath aapke rishte qareeb ho jate hai, aap jitna zyada kaam karenge utni hi complicate hoti hai aapka rishta unke saath. You don’t mix dosti and work. Also, I feel that there can be too much of a good thing as well and phir uski wo value nahi rehti.”

Fawad then praised Mahira for her dedication towards her craft. He mentioned that she is a ‘machine’ when it comes to her profession and works around the clock. The actor also mentioned that the Pakistani diva is very patient. Further into the conversation, the host asked Fawad if Mahira was not an actress, what other profession would suit her the best. The 42-year-old actor compared her with the legendary actress, Marilyn Monroe and said that she has the charm and build for the acting profession, and he could not imagine her doing anything else.
