Farhan Akhtar is a renowned filmmaker, actor, dialogue writer, singer, and songwriter, who predominately works in the Hindi film industry. The actor made his first directorial debut with the movie, Dil Chahta Hai. He went onto do wonders with his directorial career in several movies like Lakshya, Positive, Rock On!!, Don 2, and more. Apart from that, Farhan showcased his acting skills in several movies, such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Wazir, The Sky Is Pink, Toofan, Lucknow Central, and Dil Dhadakne Do. Talking about his personal life, Farhan fell in love with hair stylist, Adhuna on the sets of Dil Chahta Hai and got married in the year 2000. The duo has two daughters, Shakya and Akira. However, it was after 17 years of their marital bliss that Farhan parted ways with Adhuna.
Cut to now, Farhan Akhtar found love again in the arms of Shibani Dandekar. After dating each other for a couple of years, the duo tied the knot in 2022. Since the time they got married, the duo has never missed a chance to paint the town red with their bond. For those who don't know, Farhan Akhtar recently co-produced the film, Madgaon Express, which is mainly a travel story and also marks Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut. However, while doing a fun quiz with India Today, Farhan walked down memory lane and recalled the 'mad memories' from one of his Goa trips.

Talking about the same, Farhan revealed that one of his horrible experiences was his travel to Goa when a girl dumped him. The actor also mentioned that Saif Ali Khan's Goa trip in the movie, Dil Chahta Hai was based on the former's real-life experience. For the unversed, Dil Chahta Hai marked Farhan's directorial debut. Farhan added:
"The most horribly wrong experience was during one of my trips to Goa. Some girl I was dating at that time, dumped me while we were there."
Going further in the interview, Farhan Akhtar added that after the girl dumped him, he drove alone all the way back home, which was the most lonely drive in his entire life. The actor also added that it certainly feels bad as he went on the trip with his girlfriend and then had to come back all alone. Sharing how the entire playlist changed, Farhan added:
"I got dumped and drove back myself. So that was the most lonely drive back I have ever been in my life. When you are going with somebody, you feel so cool... 'me and my girlfriend are on the road'. And then you have to come back all alone. The playlist changes completely. That was one memorable experience for sure."
Farhan Akhtar tied the knot with the love of his life, Shibani, in a close-knit Christian wedding on February 19, 2022. The wedding was nothing less than a fairy tale, and we remained lovestruck by the duo's adorable wedding pictures.

Soon after that, Shibani Dandekar, in an interview with Elle magazine, talked about her unexpected proposal from Farhan Akhtar. Shibani added that she had zero idea about Farhan proposing to her as they hadn't discussed it earlier. The singer also mentioned that Farhan proposed to her in the Maldives, and she was kind of a person who didn't want to get married. Shibani added that with Farhan, it felt just right, which is why she said 'yes' to the actor after a lot of initial shocks after his unexpected proposal.
