It was on September 01, 2018 that a particular picture posted by Shibani on her Instagram account grabbed a lot of eyeballs. The snap had the beautiful host in it, who was looking at the back and she was holding the hand of a man, who was facing the front and whose back resembled the silhouette of Farhan Akhtar! Numerous guesses from fans in the comments box followed and it was only on October 15, 2018, that Farhan too, gave an answer to who the mystery man in the photo was when he posted the same picture from his account! And ever since, there has been no looking back on Farhan and Shibani’s social media PDA. From posting pictures with each other, to posting ‘heart’ comments on each other’s pictures, these duo are posing to be one of the ‘IT’ couples of the B-town! A recent picture posted by Farhan and Shibani has the duo sitting with each other on a sofa and looking at the camera. Both the couple posted the same image from their profile and became a victim of trolls when fans couldn’t exactly understand who Shibani is dating and when are they getting married. It was not long when Shibani finally spoke to Mid-Day about her relationship with Farhan Akhtar. Therein, she was quoted as saying, “We are public figures, so people are entitled to say what they want to. But I don't care about their opinion. I'm aware of who I am and I'm comfortable with who I choose to date.” She had further added, “I am not secretive, but I don't feel the need to say things out loud. It's up to me to decide when and what I want to share about my personal life, and it is up to the audience to decide how they look at it. How much information I want to put out in the public domain is my prerogative.”
Recently, what was projected as an ‘accidental bumping’ by Farhan, the Kartik Calling Kartik star took to Instagram and posted a cosy picture with his rumoured lady-love, Shibani. Sharing the picture, he captioned it as, “Look who I bumped into! So great seeing you @shibanidandekar”. Well, Farhan has his own way of being witty! Months back, the couple was enjoying a trek in Vancouver and was having a gala time. Both Farhan and Shibani took to Instagram to post amazing pictures of each other. In one such picture of Shibani, where she is looking all weary, Farhan posted the picture as his Instagram story and wrote, “Damn you @faroutakhtar” on behalf of Shibani, atop it. Farhan was earlier married to Adhuna Bhabani for over years before they decided to call it quits. The estranged couple shared an official statement on social media and the same could be read as, “This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.”
In a throwback interview with HT, Farhan had shared this about his relationship with Adhuna, “I believe that for any relationship or marriage to be successful, the couple has to be great friends. It is also important to keep reinventing your friendship.
