The 1998 released film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has been one of the most iconic and cult favourite films ever made in the history of Indian cinema. The film still holds a special place in the hearts of the audiences, who often revisit watching the same. The film featured a stellar star cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol playing pivotal roles. And now, the film’s choreographer and talented filmmaker, Farah Khan, spilt beans and shared some simmering details about the shooting of one particular track.
Farah Khan recently graced the popular dance reality show, ‘India’s Best Dancer’ as a judge for a particular episode. During her stint in the show, she recalled shooting for the song, Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye, from the film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which featured Salman Khan and Kajol. While the track was a massive hit back in the day and continues to do so to date, Farah revealed how Salman was never present during the entire filming of the song. He would only come for 2 to 3 hours and perform a limited number of shots for the song. Moreover, she recalled how Salman’s duplicate, named Ritji, covered for his absence. In her words:
“Ritji bahut cute tha yar. Main bata du Sajan ji Ghar Aaye mein, Salman Khan ka aadha gana Salman ka dupe banke Ritji ne kia. Really, kyunki Salman aata hi tha 2-3 ghante ke liye. To baki back shot, top shot, wide shot, sab Ritji karta tha.”
