The much-awaited Colombian drama, Fake Profile Season 3, has finally been released on OTT. For those unaware, season one of the show dropped on May 31, 2023, while season two dropped last year, on January 8, 2025. Now, ever since Fake Profile Season 3 premiered on April 15, 2026, on Netflix, the suspense thriller has been having a major moment on the global streaming charts.
While this season picks up after the events of 'Killer Match' in the previous season by putting ‘Camila’ and ‘Miguel’ in tenser situations, it will also bring back old enemies like ‘Ángela Ferrer.’ So, if you haven't already watched the new season of the series and are on the fence about whether it will be worth your time, here's our Fake Profile Season 3 review to help you make up your mind.
Spoilers ahead.
One of the most interesting aspects of Fake Profile Season 3 is that it builds across several interconnected fronts. It all starts with a holiday at Rivera Esmeralda, where ‘Camila’ and ‘Miguel’ meet ‘Juanita’ and ‘Rodrigo.’ Although it seemed like a casual encounter at first, a moment by the pool proves to be a source of unease, especially when ‘Miguel’ realises that ‘Rodrigo’ is in fact his brother, ‘Oliver’, after spotting a scar on his back.
Despite his realisation, ‘Miguel’ decides to keep the fact from ‘Camila,’ leading to a fresh crack in the very little trust that had remained between them. Meanwhile, enter ‘Ángela Ferrer,’ who claimed that she had been imprisoned in a warehouse cage after being away for three months. However, it seems that the captivity was staged with the help of ‘Camila’s’ ex-husband, ‘David.’ ‘Ángela’s’ appearance as a suffering victim gives her the chance to place blame for earlier crimes on other people. 'Vanessa' also keeps her mouth shut about the truth behind ‘Santiago’s’ death. Ultimately, the false version of events hangs in the air like a poisonous curtain.

Later, we see how violence spreads to ‘Camila’s’ working life, with ‘Ángela’ hiring an assailant to wreck her business by planning attacks on her dancers. Amid the chaos and unstable workplace, a singer by the name of ‘Noa’ joins a club and adds a fresh presence.
As the story nears its end, time slips forward by one year to a remote island. Apparently, ‘Joaquin’ has faked his death in order to build a polyamorous cult. Interestingly, he has also held ‘Ángela’s’ daughter, ‘Eva,' captive within it. The story comes to an end when ‘Camila’ and ‘Miguel’ fall to their deaths from a cliff. Their fall puts a stop to the long pattern of escape, betrayal, and survival we had seen throughout the show.
In the final season of Fake Profile, ‘Camila’s’ character appears transformed owing to coming face-to-face with danger and repeated betrayals. Instead of simply drifting through events, she acts with intention. This helps her shape her own survival, although her decisions at times can carry an ethically murky edge. She has become exceedingly good at reading danger early and responds to it in a calculated manner, making her character seem harder and colder than before.

On the other hand, ‘Miguel’ is a man full of contradictions. One moment, he might appear sincere, but the next, his habits end up exposing his self-serving nature. This is also evidenced by the fact that he chose to hide his brother's identity from ‘Camila.’ When ‘Miguel’ returns to ‘Ángela,’ it also highlights how little security he can offer to anyone.
Coming to ‘Ángela’s’ character, she chooses to avoid any type of flamboyance, but what stands out is her menace, which comes from method, restraint, and her ability to manipulate those around her while hiding behind a veil of innocence. 'David' and ‘Vanessa’ act in a way which helps ‘Ángela’ always appear innocent.
Meanwhile, it is clear as day that the main purpose of ‘Juanita’ and ‘Rodrigo’ is to press against the fragile bond between ‘Camila’ and ‘Miguel.’ They constantly stir tension and strong conflict to the surface. One of the rarer characters of conviction on the show is that of ‘Detective Indira.’ She is sure that ‘Ángela’ is guilty, though there is not much evidence to prove the same. Ultimately, all these relationships and bonds reveal how truth is something which carries danger.

The makers of Fame Profile Season 3 have done an amazing job when it comes to leaning into the idea of paradise hiding rot beneath its polished surface. The final of the season has it all, from luxury locations and immaculate clubs to interiors which have been designed carefully to create an atmosphere of seduction, though something darker lingers within. Even the warm lighting and clean composition help disguise the cruelty, corruption, and moral ruin, with elegance.
Additionally, compared to the previous seasons, it feels like this time there was a greater intention to the storytelling. Every time something is revealed, it stems from the characters' choices. This helps give the plot a former sense of cause and effect. The brooding sense of suspense is also something which will keep viewers stuck to their seats.
Overall, Fake Profile is a must-watch for those who enjoy suspense thrillers, with a bit of steaminess.
