Who is Max Verstappen's girlfriend, Kelly Piquet?

Kelly Piquet is the daughter of three-time F1 champion, Nelson Piquet. Not only this, her brother, Nelson Piquet Jr., is also an F1 racer. After Kelly made her relationship with Max Verstappen public, she has often supported him during his matches. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Lily, in 2025.

It is worth mentioning that before Kelly fell in love with Max Verstappen, she was in a relationship with former F1 driver, Daniil Kvyat. Not only this, the ex-couple even had a daughter named Penelope. So, Kelly was the mother of one daughter when she met F1 racer, Max Verstappen. Talking about her professional life, she is a 37-year-old model, born in Germany in 1988. She was raised in France, after which she relocated to Brazil. She is currently working a model, but before tht she had worked as an assistant at Vogue Latin America. She has modelled for Vogue Netherlands in 2022, and was also seen as a model for brands like PatBo and Louis Vuitton. 

Max Verstappen met Kelly Piquet when he was 19, and she was 27 years old

Kelly Piquet first met Max Verstappen in 2016, during a group dinner in Monaco. She attended it with her brother, who is also a racecar driver. At that time, Kelly was dating Danil Kvyat, and in 2019, they welcomed their daughter. After a year of her birth, she parted ways with Danil. That's when she reconnected with Max, and they began dating in 2020. 

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kelly shared a post for her boyfriend, Max, after the birth of their daughter in May 2025. She revealed that she had met Max in 2016, and the very next day, he had told her that she was the love of his life. However, she had no idea that ten years later, they would be celebrating five years of togetherness with a baby girl. She wrote:

"Met this guy [in 2016]... the very next day he told me I was the love of his life. Little did I know 10 years later we'd be celebrating five years together and have a perfect baby girl. PS: I absolutely did not have a magical night that night (laughing emoji), but there was serendipity in the air."

It is worth mentioning that Kelly is nine years older than Verstappen. The F1 racer is 28 years old while his girlfriend, Kelly is 37 years old. Due to the significant age gap, Kelly even got trolled by Max's fan. One user wrote, "When she was 27 in 2016, Max was 18." Another user came to her defend and wrote, "Kelly Piquet clarified that NOTHING happened between her and Max Verstappen in 2016 when Max was 19 (not 17 like some haters with a lack of math skills), try to claim. Yet I still see people hating on her, just proving they’ll hate no matter what. Jealousy, I guess." However, Kelly also made sure to clarify the buzz once and wrote, "He [Verstappen] was already 19, but yeah, so what."
