The South Korean singer and songwriter, Kim Jong Dae, popularly known by his stage name, Chen, tied the knot with his non-celebrity wife in a stunning fairytale wedding ceremony on October 22, 2023. Chen is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band, EXO and its subgroups, EXO-M and EXO-CBX. He is known for his exceptional vocal skills and has won the hearts of fans all across the world with his charming personality and unique voice.
In 2020, Chen took to his official fan club on LYSN and shared a handwritten letter announcing quite nervously that he was planning to get married to his long-time girlfriend. He surprised fans by announcing his upcoming marriage and first child in the heartfelt letter. Since then, the singer has reportedly registered the marriage and welcomed a second child. Earlier this year, EXO’s company, SM Entertainment, announced that a wedding ceremony would take place to celebrate the coming together of Chen and his wife.

The newlyweds celebrated their wedding ceremony in a beautiful private setting in a serene venue. The halls were decorated with chains of white flowers hanging from the ceiling of the venue, whereas some flowers were also kept on the floor, which undoubtedly turned the venue into a ‘garden-like’ place. Some of EXO's band members attended Chen's big day. Kai, Suho, Chanyeol, Xiumin, and Baekhyun were in attendance to congratulate the couple.
To make the ceremony more special and personalised, Chen took to the stage and sang his OST as part of the ceremony. Several videos from the festivities revealed that Chen’s bandmates even lend their voices on stage to commemorate the couple’s big day. They performed EXO’s 2013 group song, Don’t Go, via orchestra, which garnered some criticism from their fans. Whereas Suho sang his solo, Let’s Love, and the groom, Chen, sang the song, Best Luck.
