'Euphoria' Actress Hunter Schafer's Personal Life, Romance With Dominic Fike And Journey As A Single

Actress and model Hunter Schafer has been one of the most popular faces in films and television. Hunter Schafer was romantically linked to her co-star a few years ago

As mentioned, Hunter Schafer started her acting career with Euphoria in 2019. Three years after the premiere of the show, reports of Hunter being in a relationship with her co-star, Dominic Fike, started going viral in January 2022. As per the rumours, Hunter and Dominic were reportedly seen with each other holding hands. The relationship was confirmed by the duo when they appeared together on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party in February 2022.

Dominic opened up on the relationship while speaking to GQ in May 2022, saying that he and Hunter immediately got attracted to each other. Fike said that this is common when an individual is vulnerable to another person. Hunter Schafer later appeared for another interview with Elle UK in February 2023, saying that she and Fike have been like a “safety net” for one another.

Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike separated around a year after making the romance official

Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike’s split was first confirmed by the latter when he spoke to Zane Lowe of Apple Music in 2023. He claimed that the separation was a result of co-dependency problems. Although Hunter did not address the split from her side at that time, Dominic appeared for an interview with the Los Angeles Times, saying that he was able to make music around his girlfriend. While Fike did not mention anything directly about Schafer, he further stated:

“I was looking through songs the other day and found one that I made with her… I was like, ‘Man, that was so cool.’ But the fact of me saying that - of being uncomfortable being alone - that’s a bad thing. So I decided to just be alone for a while.”

Hunter Schafer later shared her side about the separation while appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, hosted by Alex Cooper, in 2024. Hunter claimed during the conversation that she was reportedly cheated on, and Dominic has been addressing the same in the lyrics of her songs. Schafer added that there are no issues if Fike is talking about the problems anywhere. Hunter claimed that the entire experience changed her fundamentally as an individual, adding that she realised that cheating has nothing to do with the person who has been its victim.

Hunter Schafer has previously opened up about her single life

Back in 2024, Hunter Schafer spoke up about her single life when she appeared for an interview with British GQ. She seemingly referred to her relationship and separation from Dominic Fike, saying that she has been “healing from the last thing.” Schafer continued by saying that she wants to ensure that she is fine before she can jump into another relationship. Hunter mentioned that although she has been romantically linked to other individuals, she kept those relationships out of the limelight. Schafer said that her romance with Dominic helped her to work through the feelings of disdain she had for men. She added:

“I think it had inhibited a lot of my friendships with men, and a lot of that came down as well. I had a really beautiful relationship with [Fike], and it really opened me up in that way.”
